Don't the PCM's all use the Ford filter on the remote kits? Motorcraft FL1A Napa Gold 1515 etc
    Aren't NAPA's filters Wix filters ?

I could be wrong here so wait to see what others say, but I put a PCM remote kit on my 502 a couple years ago and thought they were all the old Ford ones.

That would be really interesting! Ford filter with a Chevy block!

I guess I worded that poorly. What i meant to say is: I could be wrong about the newer ones, such as the 2008 SAN.

I am positive about the Ford Filters on the the earlier remote kits. Including on Chevy's.

The Ford filter definitely makes my 502 just a bit faster.

              ACDELCO Part # PF2
WIX Part # 51515 (black color - matches engine nicely)
              Motorcraft Part # FL1A
              Purolator PL30001
              FRAM Part # PH8A (junk)

If your brand is not there, look up a filter for a 1990 Ford F-150 with a 302 V8.

I do not know why, but years ago somebody decided remote filter mounts would use a Ford filter. I had a Ford (Motorcraft FL1-A) filter on my VW powered dune buggy, that I modified to a full flow oil filter. The standard has stuck.
My 1966 Ford pickup, my 1974 Ford pickup, my 1996 Ford Aerostar, and my 1997 Ski Nautique all take the same oil filter.
You can get them at Wal-Mart for less than $4.00. Sales tax may be extra, but my state does not have sales tax.

The following engines of mine take the same FL1A Ford filter

1999 Super Air PCM 502 (chevy)
                  1968 CC Mustang 289 Interceptor
                  1967 Ford Mustang 289 Ford
                  1958 Allis Chalmers D17 tractor

                  makes it easy.
