New to me 02 SAN 210

Hey guys!
Finally managed to get my hands on an old Nautique from White Lake Marine in NC. Got a great deal on a old neglected SAN. She needs some love but has a good engine, hull, and trailer. I restored a 2000 Moomba Outback from the ground up so I plan on doing the same over time here.


If anyone has some words of advice on this year (besides Faria gauges) let me know. I am always open to suggestions and experience from those that have already been through it!

Plans:
Kickers all around
Kicker Tower Speakers
Pull carpet and Hydro Turf
Refinish swim platform
Powder coat trailer and tower
Pull old graphics and wrap
New Trailer Tires and brakes
New vinyl all around
750's in place of factory hard tanks

Congrats, you ll love it. It looks clean from outside, how is it inside?

Inside is pretty rough. A lot of mold, so I'll be tackling that right off the bat and pressure washing the carpets. Some cuts and tears in the bow. I'll do some before and after once I pick it up tomorrow and start going crazy cleaning.

So you can see there interior isn't the worse but it really needs some dedicated cleaning to break up the years of neglect. Hoping I don't rip apart any of the vinyl off the bat cleaning it.

Got it for a steal at 16,900. Took a couple weeks of negotiating but he was ready to get rid of it and upgrade. Got 4 new trailer tires and new water temp gauge as part of the deal also.

Here's how the platform looked yesterday when I bought the boat.



And here's after using the Teak cleaning kit. I used the teak cleaner followed by the lightner. Once it's good and dry I'll be doing a few coats of oil to get her looking good as new!

First coast of teak oil, wasn't a slacker and did the whole process on the top and bottom of the platform. I'll be adding another two coats of oil tomorrow.

Extremely easy process, anyone who has hesitated to do this should absolutely get it done. Didn't have to do any sanding at all, just clean, lighten, let dry, then oil. Read the back of the bottles and got it done!

That's cleaning up nice! Which teak cleaner did you use?

This is the kit I used. Really couldn't get any easier. If it wasn't for having to wait for it to dry before using the oil I would have been from my before to after pic in less than 30 minutes easily.

Got my first round of compound and polish done today! Also got the swim platform finished up and back on the boat. Looking really good, very happy with the outcome so far.

I'll finish compound and polish tomorrow, then get her all waxed up.

Already looks like a completely different boat. Its amazing that sellers won't do such to gain some more money on the sale. 300 can gain you another 4,000. That's good for you though!!!
