Listing of aftermarket wake-plates (Commercial and non-commercial w/ links)

With all of the information coming out for aftermarket wake-plates, wedges, trim tab systems, etc, I figured it would be a good idea to start grabbing them and putting them into a central source. I'll do my best to update this daily until we have a good stock pile. If you'd like something added, please post in the comments and I'll make sure it migrates to the first post.

I'd like to keep the same format for each, though, so please help make it easy and I'll keep this updated.

    Name: WaveControl Go Surf Assist
    Website: http://www.gosurfassist.com
    CC Compatibility: unknown
    Type of system: Tabs
Price: 3999.99, including installation if you're local
Notes: Distributed by WakeMakers, they say they will stand behind it 100%, and they've got a great track record.

Name: Mission Boat Gear Surf Side Panels
    Website: http://www.missionboatgear.com
    CC Compatibility: unknown
    Type of system: Wedge
Price: 298.00 - 598.00 (Malibu's are the only model listed)
Notes: Clamps to the platform, floats incase it falls off. They've had people look at it and it puts ~400lbs of force on the side of the platform at 11mph.

    Name: Wake Surf Shaper
    Website: http://www.wakesurfshaper.com
CC Compatibility: Pictures on website are from 210, however design is truly universal
    Type of system: Wedge
    Price: 699.00, shipped
Notes: Velcro's to the side of the boat, one wedge should handle both sides (just flip it over and put velcro on both sides). Downside is that if the wedge is too aggressive, it will rip off the side of the boat.

    Name: WakeFX
    Website: http://www.wakefx.com
CC Compatibility: Unknown (should be no problem)
    Type of system: Wedge
    Price: 895.00 (each)
Notes: Not interchangeable per side, must buy two if you want to be able to swap sides. These are more customizable for angle of attack than others, however this is what causes the lack of interchangeability.

    Name: Wake-Shaper
    Website: http://wake-shaper.com
    CC Compatibility: Unknown
    Type of system: Wedge
    Price: 550
Notes: Easily changeable from side to side, appears to require a tow-eye hook (perhaps the lift ring would work for a CC?); Also, due to the 'sweep' of some older Air Nautiques, this may not work very well since it won't really push very hard on the water.

    Name: Wicked Wave
    Website: http://www.wickedwakesurf.com
    CC Compatibilty: Unknown
    Type of system: Wedge
    Price: ??
Notes: Straight forward "wedge" style design.

If you own any of these, please post a mini-review and I'll link directly to it from this post. I'm sure more are out there, but this was my "i'm sick of searching for them" attempt at the ones I've been eyeballing lately.

Razor Blade has something but I can only see it on Youtube. They don't have it on their website.

Great post! I'm reaching out to a couple of these guys to see about one for my boat.

Feel free to keep suggesting them - These are the 'commercially available' ones I've been able to find. I might reach out to a few of the ones that I'd be willing to put on my boat and offer to give them a go. Right now, my favorite (due to simplicity, and safety factor) is the wake surf shaper...

I'll guess that if you used duo-lock on the wakesurfshaper it would stay on. I had a Goode slalom ski where the bindings were attached with duo-lock. Clear may be harder to see on a light colored hull. Duo-lock will catch debris, however.

Looks like an additional GSA style to add to the list. They keep promising videos, but I haven't seen one just yet.

I looked at this quite thoroughly - I (personally) think the wedge design is safer, although their design is more simple, by a long shot. The problem comes with how the force is applied - Technically theirs is more of a 'pull' on the front suction; and a lever action to the rear - meaning if the front breaks away, the rear is going to rip loose almost immediately (I've seen this in-action on the one I build... that leading edge of the wedge isn't flush, and your day is less than great!)

The other challenge that I see with suction cup designs is that if you're not pushing on the side of the boat, and spreading it over a decent area, then you're likely to have issues, or damage the hull. If you spread the same force, in a lever action, over two suction cups, I don't know how well the fiberglass will hold together. These devices *need* to exert about 400-500 pounds of total force on the side of a boat to get the crab effect needed for the delayed convergence. I honestly don't know how this translates when you do the lever-action.

If anybody understands the hydrodynamics well enough, i'm all ears. My plan is to do some testing with some sheets of thin HDPE mounted to a test plane and see what happens beside a rather large non-surf vessel. (neighbor has a 36ft express cruiser that i'm going to temporarily 'borrow'...)

That's what I've been working and have a slightly new design...
