Hello,
These two custom swim decks were initial designs for a product line I wanted to start, but my business took an entirely different direction and they're not being put to use.
They are built of CNC machined, hand fabricated marine grade high density polyethylene. The black one took nearly two weeks to design and build. All the padding, which is Hydroturf, is machined in and nearly flush with the top of the deck, so it doesn't catch. The white one is a simpler design but has tons of traction. Neither of these has ever been used other than for photos.
Of the decks I built, several have now seen four years of use and still look new. The material is extremely tough, it will never corrode and it won't fracture like fiberglass. They're entirely maintenance free except for a good wiping down every so often.
In the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you that these two are 1” thick total, versus the 1.5” later models that were built. They will be a bit more flexible than a standard wood or fiberglass deck. But they're strong...extremely strong. You mount them up using your existing hardware and brackets, and if you wanted to screw on or inset a 1/2 x 1/2 aluminum L bracket on the bottom that'd take all flex out of it. I’ve sold some stuff to Grant West in the past, and I think he’d give you a fair assessment of my business practices.
They were designed around the hull of a 2000 Super Air Nautique, and I've built one for a '98 Super Sport. Please check if your hull is the same shape before buying them.
Price: $500 each. I just need to get them out of the shop. I don't think you can get a new stock platform for less than $750, and they won’t perform as well as these.
Let me know if you're interested. You can PM me and I can take PayPal. The pics look a little jagged, and I can send better ones if need be.
Thanks,
Jason
