Here is a chance to order the boat you want at a discounted price. I will let you order the exact boat you want. The boat will be available the beginning of September 2009. It is going to be garage kept and only run in private fresh water lakes. I usually put less than 100 hours on the boat. The 2007 I just sold only had 137 hours in 2 years of skiing. The 2006 I sold had around 60 hours. The boat will be well maintained with the oil changed at 25 hours and every 50 hours after that. I wipe the boat down as soon as it is pulled from the water and never let it sit out all day. The only time it is out of the garage is when we are actually skiing.

I'll let Kent give it to you straight from the horse's mouth, but this is likely a promo boat, and this type of arrangement is not unusual. I've seen several promo boats marketed this way. If I was in the market for a new-to-me boat, I'd strongly consider this method of purchasing because it would allow me to pick the colors and options, allow me to get a "new" boat from someone that knows how to care for a boat, and allow me to get into a current year model at a reduced price from showroom. There is less risk associated with how the boat was treated before you own it by purchasing it from a promo owner that you have a high degree of certainty operated and cared for the boat in a professional manner as compared to someone that may be new to boating and not yet fully knowledgeable in the proper care, maintenance and operation.

This is a promo boat and I have know several people that have done this exact same thing. In fact, my 2006 boat was sold before I bought it. I have been on the promo program for over 10 years and owned a boat for the last 30 years. I take care of the boats I buy because I know I have to resell it at the end of the year. I can save you thousands off retail with a boat that is properly set up and well maintained. The same thing is done with demo cars from dealers. The dealer uses the car for a while and then sells it at less than retail. So, if you want to purchase a 2009 model boat with a few hours on it for far less than retail maybe we can work out a deal.
One more thing. You would only need to put a deposit on it, not pay for the entire boat up front.

I would feel very comfortable knowing it was a promo team member's boat actually. Those people don't trash their boats. They have to keep them in prime shape as they are basically representing the quality of Correct Craft at events and so on. Judging by this person's word, it will be treated well like his last boat.

I guess it's just me then. Agreeing to a price 1 year before the actual use has been put on a boat seems crazy.

This is the route I was preparing to go before my 98, an offer too good to pass up, showed up on the radar. I sat down with my dealer and discussed it. In many cases, Promo owners have been in the program for some time and develop a bit of a reputation for being particular about the upkeep of their boats. Some become known as being more particular than others, but from the people I talked to, most of the promo guys took exceptionally good care of their boats. It is also showing support for the promo team member. If you ski in tournaments, you are using a promo rep's boat. We have to buy these boats you are skiing on. If you are considering a used boat, why not consider the promo boats? Like was said above, most keep their boats in perfect condition. Plus, like Kent is recommending, if you put a deposit on one ahead of time, you get to pick the color and options. In most cases, the seller will work with you and have conditions on things like the number of hours, etc.Promo Team member
