WTB ski pylon

I need to replace the ski pylon on my 85 2001. I would like a newer pole with less bend. If you have one sitting around that you would like to get rid of or know of where I can find one without have to buy new, please let me know.

The newer ones won't bolt into the socket in the hull. It will clamp in but you would need to modify either the base of the pylon or the hull pin/socket. I may have a black teflon coated pylon circa ~95 available this winter.

Thanks Hollywood, that is exactly what I am looking for! Let me know when you are ready to sell and what you want for it and I will send you a check. I believe that I can get a guy to machine the bottom to git the boat or do a little welding work to make it fit.

Ok, and here is the "new" setup 87+ (well the half of 87s that don't have the ring finger). It is 2.5" all the way down with a hole drilled through sitting in a female cup/socket glassed in the hull.

I believe that I can make it work without a lot of trouble. What do other people tend to do?

Not a lot of people replace their pylon! You can have one machined quite easily, finding a shop that'll bang it out w/o charging you a ridiculous price might be the hard part. The short pylon I have that I offered is slightly bent, so I don't think it can be turned in a lathe to get the bottom to bolt up in your boat.

Did you try calling a CC dealer? The new pylons are straight all the way, you could turn down the base to fit your boat. ****, they might be willing to do it for you since I think they generally make pylons to order when needed.

Can you post a picture of it? Is it perfectly straight? I can't tell exactly when CC went to the straight pylon. I want to say it was 1997 (in the TSC hull).

Well, I guess I was wrong. My pylon does have a very slight curve to it. I have posted a picture below along with a pic of the bottom of the pylon. If you are still interested, let me know. Thanks.
