    WTB Team Edition Polk Sub and Enclosure

    Anyone have a TE Polk sub and enclosure that they want to part with? Here's what I'm looking for but I have not heard back from the seller so I'm assuming it's gone...

      Why would you want a badly built box? My dealer will take them out because the are so poorly built. He uses audioformz.com boxes as do I. They are ten times better and designed around the polk sub. My buddy with a 220 just swapped his out and loves his.

        I just upgraded from a '97 Sport, so my '03 SANTE is relatively new to me. The previous owner had a real trick stereo setup. He kept the sub but left the amps. I need a sub but I don't need something that you can hear across the lake. I just want something simple to round out the sound. I'm not a big stereo guy so spending money on custom enclosures and high-end equipment isn't high on my priority list. I figured putting the stock setup in would sound fine, fit well and look good. Are there major problems with this design? What is so bad about this enclosure? Thanks....

          the polk sub actually hits pretty hard when amped to specs. if you want it make me an offer.

              Glass in a 3/4 mdf bottom to that factory enclosure, put some fiber fill inside, stick the factory polk sub back in and it sounds really nice.

                The bottom of it is not sealed correctly or made out of a sturdy enough material, and it is too big for the polk sub. The box has something like 30% to much air space for what the polk sub was designed for. The polk 10 needs like .88 cubic feet and the 12 was designed for .96 cubic feet. Adding in poly fill will only make it worse as that simulates a larger box. I have used the 12 and 10 in Audioformz boxes and they will smoke a factory setup. If you want to use the polk sub they work best. Other subs I have no personal experience with so I am not sure.

                  I'm replacing the stereo in my 08 210 TE...drop me a PM if you'd like the sub/enclosure, speakers, or amp. I probably won't sell anything until I finish the install of the new gear, so that means waiting about a month.
