I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
Here is a similar boat. I bet it would win any "rat race" and fit in any garage. There is some text in the brochure bragging about getting air on the wake. Hard to imagine a 17' lightweight wake boat.
My buddy's '78 Ski Tique w/ the Ford 302 Commander was the first boat to ever pull me up on ski's. By the end of the day I was dropping one and slalomming. By weeks end I was deep water starting on one. That started a life long love affair with skiing, and Nautiques. That boat sounded awesome too.
Mike,
You bring back too many memories of youth. I learned to ski behind a 72 Mustang (solid orange w/yellow) with the Holman Moody 302. I can still feel the muscular pull of that engine as the rope would tighten. Oh and the sound - I can still feel the feel the sound pressure marching across the early morning glass as the boat thundered across the lake. What a fantastic machine.
