    1996 Super Sport Nautique

GT-40 with close to 1,000 hours. Still fires on the first crank. Purrrrrrrs.
BOSS tower, speakers, racks & light bar. Awesome stereo system.
Hard Tanks installed. Ready to b plumbed for ballast system
    Custom Rankin cover
    Tandem Axle Trailer

This boat is located up in Truckee, CA right now. Boat has tons of history in the wakeboarding community and is notorious for throwing phat wakes. I simply don't use it much anymore and could use the $$$ to take care of some debts.

E-mail me at sandruha@comcast.net if you are interested. Asking price is $25,000 but I'm not stupid or stubborn. Make me a reasonable offer and we can work something out. Might be willing to consider a trade for a classic convertible if you have one lying around.

For another $5K, I'll throw in my 2000 Ford Expedition, Eddie Bauer Edition. That would be $30K for the Truck/Boat combo.

I'll post pics but the interior needs to be redone. I didn't say that the boat i worth $25K....I laid that out as the price that I was selling it for and mentioned that I was willing to negotiate. So before I post the pics, just know that the interior needs to be redone. And the trailer brakes need to be done as well. Other than that, boat is perfect.

im not trying to **** up your thread but these boats are dropping in price and SAN's are going for the $20k mark. Im just trying to say that you might want to post mroe pics/details as to why you are asking around $25k for your boat. service history, compression test numbers, etc.

I know and I will. I just made the decision and decided to throw it up here immediately. I'll provide more details in the next few days. Just like everyone else in the classifieds, I would like to get as much as possible for the boat but as I mentioned, I am willing to negotiate. I'm sure that there is someone out there that will want the boat and when that time comes, we will come to an agreement on terms so that everyone gets what they want. I am prepared to get less than what I *think* the boat may be worth but I'm not going to give it away. This is not residential real estate from 2 years ago. You don't list low and then hope for a bidding war

Listing it high might turn off potential buyers. Again not to crap on your thread, but boats have plummited in resale. I just got a 03 SANTE for not much more than that.

If it helps at all - and that's my only intention - my 94 with 407 hours, needing literally NOTHING sold for less than half what you're asking.

As an aside, a member of this board offered me slightly less, claiming that was 'book value'. I roundly refused, though that is the mentality of the modern-day, current economy buyer.

As an old friend told me nearly 20 years ago...

There are TWO ways to price something: You can price it to sell it; you can price it to keep it.

                  Totally up to you.

Didn't know that they made a Super Sport in 1994. Always thought that they started making them in 1995. If it was a '94 Sport Nautique, you are correct in that they are worth considerably less. I'm pretty sure that if I listed mine for $15K, it would be gone overnight. Just checked your ad BTW and you sold a bone stock '94 Sport Nautique. Not insulting you or your opinion here but you simply can't compare the two boats. Mine IS worth close to twice as much as yours.

Its pretty hard to properly price boats in today's market. I started with a price that I thought was fair. Its been a week and I have only listed it here and on CL. If and when someone is interested, we will talk. If you want to buy a cheaper and/or lesser boat, they are available. If you want a nicer/more expensive boat, they are there as well.

Book Value on the 96 is right around 14-15,000 Average retail with a trailer and options. This is a saught after boat so that may make it worth more, but not close to twice as much as the 94 sport.

Some people look at hours to help indicate value too, yours with over twice the hours.

I hope you get every dime you're asking; would be awesome for the reinforcment of resale value. Time will tell. No argument here since I don't have a boat to sell anymore, thankfully.

What type of classic converible are you looking for? 1975 Porsche 914? (I know, I know.. it's a targa, but it's in the same spirit...)

How many owners has the boat had?

Not interested in the 914. If it was a 911, we could be talking.

Boat has had 2 owners. Igor Reoutt was the original owner and then I bought it from him.

Boat is going into storage in a few days. If someone is interested in it before she is gone for the winter, I'll let it go for $20K.
