Engine for Sale - 240 HP PCM 351w

PCM 240 HP Ford 351w from 1995 Sport Nautique - Engine had 635 hours when pulled from boat. Replaced it with GT40. It had electrical problem and would not start and I wanted the extra horse power for footin. It has the Throttle Body Fuel Injection and the Pro-tec Ignition system. It does not have the GT-40 heads. The engine is in good shape and has been in storage for 2 years. I have many extra parts to go with it.
The fly wheel hub is pulled off to get engine on stand. I prefer to sell as complete engine and includes the 2 alternators and all of the extra pieces and stand. It also includes the TBI manual from skidim.

The engines oil pan is damaged due to "Oops" when moving it and it is missing the impeller housing.
Otherwise it should be good for someone for replacement and or rebuild.

The first $500.00 takes it all. No shipping, I can deliver within 200 miles, but will include 40 cents/mile additional costs.

    Thanks
    Patrick

If memory serves me correctly, that a 310HP setup, not 240HP. I would also be surprised if those were not GT-40 heads??? It has the 3.5" exhaust risers that I thought were mated with the GT-40 heads making 285HP on the carbed motors, 310HP on injection motors?

Patrick, are you sure about what you are selling?

They made HO ("300+ hp") and non-HO (260hp) versions of the PCM TBI motor. The non-HO was also called the "Pro-Ski". All HO's (save for the mpefi GT40), both carb and TBI, were called "Pro Boss".

This one looks like the non-HO to me.

Most PCM 351w's got the 3.5" risers starting in '92 whether they were HO or not. Our '92 had the larger risers but came with the non-HO (255hp) engine. Im guessing that it made it easier to only have one style of invertaflow muffler with one size of inlets.

Thanks for note Mikeski Sounds good not knowing much about engines I am out of my depth but I have a good buddy about to be an even better buddy who is a mechanic and has been my mentor for the last couple of weeks. I'll run this e-mail by him. I would need the thing shipped to Montana if that is realistic let me know. Does anybody else have advice about swapping the engine with my 351 ford commander. It is a reverse drive and I've been informed that swapping the cam might not be to big a deal. Is that true? Is your engine reverse or normal. As far as horsepower goes that is not my main worry. I like to ski but the most of the time we're on the surfboard. Thanks again for the response.

That is a great deal. ****, it's worth it just as a core engine now days with the dwindling supplies of windsor blocks.

The heads do not have the 4 line marks - only 2. I found how to check for head type on this site.
Plus, when I did put the GT40 in boat it was a very big difference in hole shot, sound and acceleration.
i wish I had time and money to rebuild it, but not enough of either in near future.

For those outside of WI area that may be interested in this engine, I shipped my GT40 from Portland, OR to East TX for $700 via Old Dominion. Old Dominion was by far the cheapest for an individual, Conway second. UPS/FedEx was too expensive unless you have a corporate account with them. The new engine shipped from PCM in SC to Oregon (i.e. East to West Coast) for just under $500, but they have a corporate account. Just to give you a flavor of shipping costs for those who are interested.

Yes - it is still for Sale. I also have a V-Drive transmission with PCM 1:1 drivetrain.
It is from a 2002 SAN with very low hours < 50. It however has been in storage for the past 4 years. I send pics if anyone is interested. Price - $250.00.
