    2002 Air Nautique 216 DD $22,500 OBO

I am selling to upgrade to a newer Nautique. The boat was refurbished in the spring of 2009 and I used it all summer. The refurbishing included wet sanding parts of the deck and hull sides along with buffing both also. I had some fiberglass work done to the bottom of the hull so instead of bringing the gel coat back to original condition I painted the bottom of the hull from the chines down with a good boat bottom paint. It can still get about 45 mph. I replaced all the upholstery for the interior with new from the factory sewn and installed interior. I installed 6 of the new 2009 factory 6" Polk Audio speakers along with 2 10" Polk Sub-woofers to the cockpit and on the tower added 4 of the 6" speakers as well. The speakers on the tower are in the 2004 polished aluminum tower speaker enclosures. Pushing all the speakers are 2 500.4 Polk Audo factory amps. The head unit is a Clarion CMD-5 with a remote. The entire system was installed by a Correct Craft factory technician. I also added the 2009 spinner racks to the tower for wakeboard storage and a bimini top. The PCM GT-40 engine (245 hrs.) has a new starter, 100 amp alternator, new impellor, new belts and recently flushed transmission. The boat has factory ballast of 450 pounds. The boat comes with a 2002 Ramlin single axle trailer that is in good shape and has brand new Goodyear tires. The boat has only been used in freshwater since I have had it and it was a boat from Canada before I bought it. I used the boat in the St. Johns River just NE of Orlando. The boat has been a great boat but I want to upgrade so I am willing to let this go to someone else to enjoy! Price is negotiable. I was going to wait until Spring of 2010 to sell it but if I sell it now I can start looking for a new boat all the sooner!

The "216" is a 2003 boat and is 5.5" longer than your more commonly known ~21' Sport/Air Nautique (98-02).

Hollywood you are correct with the 5.5" but on the title and purchase invoice it says "Air Nautique 216", and the boat was purchased by me directly from Correct Craft. I was only advertising what is on the invoice prepared by a Correct Craft employee. I am not trying to confuse my 2002 with a 2003+.

Now I'm confused. How did you buy the boat back from CC?

I don't get the feeling you're trying to fool anyone. It is what it is, the fiberglass doesn't lie, a nice 21' Sport/Air Nautique!

somethhing doesn't add up the factory doesn't buy boats they build them and since the seller states he bought it in canada kinda double talk you ask me and bottom paint to boot must be covering up something like a hole that was repaired..

Everything makes sense and if you are interested in buying the boat please call and we can discuss the boat in details. I never thought posting a boat for sale on Planet Nautique I would have to defend my sell so much. I was under the assumption this is a site of Nautique enthusiasts and only want to pass the boat onto someone that appreciates it as much as I do.

The more accurate you represent your item the less questions you'll get. Nothing looks wrong with the boat itself.

We have pleny of PN folks in the area. Maybe someone could go take a look and give a fair report.

Might be a good idea for future sellers also. I know it might be a PITA. But it seems like PN is all over.

Nice looking ride, did the digital teleflex gauges get replaced?

As for the confusion, it appears to me that it was purchased used from a local CC dealer in Florida who somehow obtained it from someone in Canada, and that when it was sold to coobrad it was labeled as a 216, hence it sounds like it was the CC dealer that misrepresented the boat at the time of sale.

It still has the digital teleflex gauges but they should probably be replaced. The only reason I have left them in is because the hour meter is still working and I didn't want to pull them out when I decided I was going to sell the boat. As for some clarification on how the boat was purchased. All the clues are there (location of boat, factory sewn and replaced interior, stereo components installed by factory technician, etc.) but no one picked up on it they just made assumptions. To avoid any more confusion I think it is safe to say people who work at CC can own a Nautique also because they appreciate the product. You can believe me that I have a very good understanding of the boat and the CC product.
