2003 All black Super Air Nautique with cracked block $21,000

Any mechanics out there? A new long block is $2k and I found someone locally who could do it for $1k. Boat has 580 hours and is located in olympia, WA. Block cracked because someone unplugged my heater and forgot to turn it back on. Can be viewed through seattle's craigslist.

Here is the Craigslist add if anyone is interested. http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/boa/1587899716.html

To the OP, why does it have a 2006 tower? Did something happen to the original tower? Also, are you the original owner? Pictures aren't great but the boat looks decent. Might be a good project for someone. Almost an exact duplicate to mine.

I don't know? probably just wanted to be up with the latest trend and got a good price for his old FCT? The boat came that way, and I am not the original owner. Is this price ok you think? The only vdrive you can buy up here for $25k is a mobius, sanger, or centurion... I am not getting the activity I thought I would, but only a few of us appreciate the value in nautiques i guess?

I'm curious, if you have someone that can fix it for a grand, why not fix it?

Cause the block is still 2k and I bought another boat before knowing this block was cracked.

I would also be interested in seeing more pictures...I'm located in the Seattle area and although I'm not necessarily in the market to buy another boat, I am seriously considering buying a newer boat with an open bow and more space so we can drag more of the kids friends along with us.

Anyway, let me know if you have more pics available and any other details you can send would be appreciated...feel free to PM me.

Please don't kick me off here for saying this but I got a 04 Wakesetter 23 XTI. Probably won't throw the same wake without sackin in out, but it was an amazing price and fulfilled my need of a bigger boat. I actually have it for sale too now, and ideally I would like it to sell first so I could fix the nautique. However, I am at the mercy of the consumer a this point. I need to get some detailed photos for another gentleman, and when I do I will send them your way too JustinB.

I don't think you'll get kicked off because of the type of boat you purchased. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.

Would you seperate the boat from the trailer?

I am just about to finish my current project and this would be a good one for me and love the all black...

I would seperate the boat form the trailer, but not for anything less than $20k. I will have some pictures on Monday after it leaves a friends detail shop.

I have seen this boat out on the water thing looks freaking sweet! Met him on one of our local lakes watching a boat race tied up next to him. He seemed to take care of his boat the whole time we were out their and even answered some questions I had about my boat. I would feel great about buying a boat from him.
