Agreed, pay no attention to NADA. Anyone who knows what you have, will also know the dollars that boat will command. If I could find an '08 or '09 196 for NADA value, I'd buy it this afternoon!

as said on here a lot, it is worth what someobdy will pay. put the number you want to get out of it and go from there.

absence of a tower means squat. digital guages mean squat. its has the most sought after motor in the those boats, looks ot be in great condition, and with 100 hours, good gracious the motor is barely broke in.

502 direct drive. bet that thing will scoot. a 'footers dream.

I would agree that 20K seems like a good price from both sides of the table. I have a '01 196, same colors, same condition, w/ the GT-40 and would expect just under what you are looking for. HOWEVER, I suppose it really all depends on how fast you really want to sell it. If you can wait, the right buyer will definetly come along. Nice Boat!!!

Well, 20k it is! If anyone else is interested just PM or call me directly at 262-510-6596...

Shipping is available, and I'm going to take more pictures when I'm out at the house later on.

Maybe if it don't sell by the time it's warm we'll just use it this year.

I respectfully disagree. Sports are cross-over boats with not a lot of storage space. With wakeboarding being the more popular sport and wakesurfing growing, a tower is a valuable asset, and a FCT commands yet a higher premium. It is possible that he will find an enthusiast that is salivating over the python engine and does not want a tower (which I hope he does), but the average buyer of a sport is going to be wakeboarding and wants a tower. If they were solely going to ski or foot, they would or should be looking for a 196. The Sport has a good enough wake for skiing and footing, but if you are a true ski or footing afficionado, why pay more for a sport that will perform not as well in your watersport of choice than you would pay for a 196 of SNOB? If you doubt me, look around at other listings. Sports with towers and especially FCT's are listed for and sell for more than those without them. Yes, the python adds value as does the condition, but that does not mean that not having a tower does not substract value (or does not add more value, depending on how you want to phrase it).

The digital gauges will have less of an impact for sure. But remember, the person who is willing to pay top dollar for the python probably knows his correct crafts. If he knows his correct crafts, he knows that those gauges are prone to failure and "may" discount the price a bit. It would be a small discount, as the analog gauge replacements are not too expensive.

Bottom-line is that $20k may not be "the right price", but I stand by my statement that not having a tower is a negative and should be taken into consideration when comparing against other sports for sale that have towers, especially FCTs.

Consider also the number of "sales" he has had that have already fallen through at not much more money. A sign of the times for sure, but even cc's are not worth what they used to be.

                    SlowJoe,
I have a '99 Sport/Python. I think your asking price is quite fair. If you don't sell it, email me and I bet I can help move it fast!

Someone will be a very happy camper with this boat.....

I was thinking about spec buying it at the price mentioned. I guarantee I can resell that boat.
