has anyone shipped one of these? should i fedex or ups? i'm gonna pack it myself w/ packing bubbles and cardboard over the speakers. i have a feeling it's gonna be not cheap to ship even if i pack it myself.

I've purchased a used one and had it shipped from Dallas to Atlanta. Shipping was like $68 Fedex ground. That included the box and packing materials though. I then ended up selling it and shipping it to New York from Atlanta. Used the same box and packing stuff and it cost less than $20, but that was using the buyer's corporate/business account with Fedex.

A conservative shipping weight is 50 lb, that is what wetsounds has on their website for shipping weight. It should cost around $50 if you have a box and packing material already, but obviously depends on how far you have to ship it.

But definitely use UPS or Fedex.

thanks. definitely pack it myself. it does not seem like it weighs near 50. maybe 30lbs, but that's w/o tower brackets(still on tower) paypal or cashier's check only.

Please remember if you ship UPS or Fedex and pack it yourself they will NOT honor any damage insurance claims. So make sure that you pack them good. The best way to pack it yourself it to take garbage bags and spray foam inside the bags around the speaker to encase them in the box. Be careful not to get spray foam on the speakers as it will not come off easily.

I shipped a set of speakers via my local UPS store, had them pack it and they arrived damaged. I wish I would have just packed them myself.
