for trade 4 blade prop

just remover the 4 blade prop from my 97 sport nautique. i'd like to trade it for another 3 blade prop, thats in good shape. i do not see anything wrong with the 4 blade, no nicks, bends or anything.
i'll try to get a picture of it and the brand/model number off of it this evening.

Most likely an OJ Legend 14 x 16

it says 13 X 16...does that sound right to you guys? i dont know much about 4 blade props.

Ya 13x16 is the correct size for the 4 bladed OJ Legend.

Mike was probably referring to the 3 bladed OJ's which were 14x16.

Can some one please tell me why I would want a 3 blade or 4 blad prop? I have 96 sport nautique with a 3 blade on it.

The late model Acme 3 blade props have more blade area than a 4 blade so they can sometimes improve the performance. In general Acme recommends a 3 blade for a direct drive and a 4 blade for a V-drive.

i sure didn't know that!! i do however like the way the boat runs better with the 3blade that i put on...it seemed like the 4blade cavitated more or something?!

Acme recommends 4 blades for many DD boats. They recommended a 208 4 blade cnc for my 78 martinique (SN hull), and it works great. They actually recommended it over the 540 or 542 3 blade cnc props they make.

I'll probably try out a 540 this summer, but I doubt the 540 will be better than the 208 has been.
