Yes, I'm going with Axis next year.
Let me start by saying that I loved my 230's. There were many many things I liked about the nautiques I owned. I had three years of basically trouble free use. I had a few issues with the seams pulling on some interior pieces and the sano deck pealed up on my platforms in places. The tower cracked on my '09, but it was replaced. Other than that, I had no issues. Those boats were built well, and held up great overall. I really liked the factory wake behind the 230. However, I found that my friend's '09 210 threw a more consistent wake when we added a bunch of extra weight. I had some issues with the wake washing on my 230s when we had lots of aftermarket ballast and the water conditions weren't perfect. The surf wave was always great. I'll also say that I"m not crazy about the 2011 tower and I wish there would still have been an option for a fct3 in 2011 - for various reasons.
My switch to Axis was due to a combination of things.
My local CC dealer closed. I was getting boats from the dealer at cost in exchange for helping do promotions and helping sell boat/equipment to my local crew and through my connections. It was a great setup, and I had a wonderful relationship with TRC. However, the only reason I got a deal on a boat was because the dealer itself was willing to sell me a boat for no profit. I had nothing worked out with CC directly. I have been told that a new CC dealer is coming to my area and that the same cost deal would likely be available to me on a 2011 230, but I don't know that for sure.
When I first got a 230 back in '07, the cost on that boat was a comfortable number for me - even though I had to borrow some money. Every year since, I have had to borrow more and more money to get a new 230 because of price increases and new options. I've gotten to a point where I'm not willing to borrow any more. The other issue is I just don't want to have to worry about having to sell a used 80k+ wakeboard boat every single year. I do want to point out that I never lost money on any of my 230's. In reality, I was very happy with resale values. I just couldn't keep up with the cost increases, especially factoring in all of the interest I had to pay during the year.
I looked hard at an Axis A22 last year, but I was concerned with resale values and I hadn't spent much time on an A22 at the time. This past season, I got to know the guys over at Axis, I rode a bunch behind both an A22 and an A20. I was very impressed with the wake, build quality and performance of those two boats. No, I'm not saying that the interior of the A22 is on par with the interior of the 230 or that it has all the same amenities as the 230. However, the A22 will cost me 40% less money. For the price, I was willing to sacrifice GPS, digital screens, some room, and some "bling". However, I'm still retaining all of the core options I wanted - like a solid tower that doesn't impeed vision, a z5, a big motor (I'm getting the optional raptor 400hp), a heater, underwater lights, docking lights, swivel racks, etc. Also, the A22 produces a phenominal wake, which is consitently clean both with factory ballast and a ton of addional weight. Lastly, over the course of this season, I have paid close attention to what used A22's have sold for in my area, and I'm convinced that they are holding their value very well.
Now, I've got many many friends who own Nautiques. Some are going to like my A22 and appreciate that it is a great boat for the money. Some are going to think I'm crazy! That's just the way it is. It's been a good ride with my CC dealer and I've really enjoyed my 230's. I'm going to miss a lot of things about the 230; however, I have to do what's right for me. I just don't think I could get the same value for the money from any of my other options right now.
I wish you guys the best and I still plan on being an active member of the forum. Attached is a picture of a boat that will be very similar to the one I'm getting. Mine's going to be solid black with no decals at all, a z5, and a full custom wetsounds system.2012 Axis A22 - on order

Its sad that Correct Craft has priced themselves out of the market for so many people. I think you made a smart choice, why tie up more money in loans then you feel confortable with?
Correct Crafts insane prices has caused me to look at other brands. My favorite boat hands down is the current SAN 210, but when a new one that is lightly optioned costs over 85k list (without a trailer), its almost humorous.
Good luck with the Axis, I would be looking at the new A20 but I just dont like the looks of the boat...

New 210 would be my first choice of boats. However, those A22s are sweet! With the additional plug-and-play ballast, the wake is really impressive. Because of the price, that boat would definitely make my short list. I'm told fully loaded 2011 230s are going to be stickered as high as $115k and will probably sell for close to $90k. I assume that would put a fully loaded 2011 210 at around $80k. That's just absolutely rediculous! 60% higher than I paid for my '05. Of course the new 210 is quite a bit more boat than my '05.
On the other hand, because the new ones are so expensive, the resale value is mine seems to be holding up much better than I could have even expected.Current: 2017 G23

Yes, for those who own used boats, the price increases are helping keep resale high. My 2010 sold for 82k to some executive at the coke bottling company in Atlanta. Super nice guy who paid with a check. If money is no object, then it's hard to beat a 230. I loved mine but I didn't help my dealer sell one 230 to a local buyer. No one I knew could afford one. At least now I can hopefully dump off my leftover A22 to people I know who are looking for a deal on a leftover boat.2012 Axis A22 - on order
