WTT DHM Tandem Trailer for Single Axle Trailer

I have a tandem trailer that is coming with the purchse of my 1999 Air Nautique (DD) and would really prefer to have a single axle trailer and get some money back out of it.

I'm in the Chicago area. Boat/Trailer are coming up from TX in 3 weeks.

It's a 1999 DHM tandem. The owner is having a new axle put on as he found out it had a bad bearing and ware through. Other axle is fine and has fresh repack.
The owner only trailered it about 10 miles every few weekends during the summer over the last 3 years (his ownership length).
It has a mounted spare and removable tounge.
    Virtually zero rust.
Take a look at the pics.

I have asked around, and $1200-1500 seems to be about a fair 'swap' rate.

I have a very good (no rust etc) condition single axle that I would be willing to trade.

I don't believe the Air and Super Sport/Air have compatible trailers. The has the axle further back to compensate for the engine in the back (at least for Ram-lin).

This is presently my trailer until I sell it and the boat to Nautique_Stealth. I am having one axle replaced due to a bad bearing. I will talk to the trailer shop about whether the axles (and fenders) can be moved for a v-drive. I believe they are bolted on, but cannot say for sure until Saturday.

I checked with the trailer guys this weekend. Unfortunately, when they looked at the trailer and started saying what all would need to be done to move the axles back (and fenders) and throwing some numbers around, it was pretty obvious that converting a d-drive to a v-drive trailer would be cost prohibitive.
