    Boat value

I am planning on buying a 2004 Air Nautique 226 LE. It's got 306 hours, is in impeccable condition and comes with virtually everything (trailer, cover, rack speakers, etc). Its the blue model color scheme.

What do you all think the value of this boat to be?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

value of a boat is exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. I wouldnt think it would be more than 30k for an 04

The only reference point out there to use is nada, for this boat it estimates roughly $34k for "average retail" and then add another $1500 for the trailer brings you to $35.5k, if the boat is in mint condition it will be worth more.

The intangibles are how badly does the seller need to unload it and how badly do others want it - basic supply and demand. The downturn in the economy has pushed NADA values down due to people selling that have to. Of interest I have been watching the nada values for my boat and in the past several months I actually saw it tick up by several hundred dollars, maybe because those that had to sell have done and what remains are people who would like to sell.

As a buyer it's a great time to buy given there isn't much demand in the fall and now owners are having to deal with winterizing and storing for the winter, which they don't want to deal with if they can avoid it.

Agree 100% . I have always had good luck getting a good premium for my boats because I feel I pick good colors and keep them very clean. I have seen the same boats with similar hours bring 3000 less because the seller get anxious or the colors are not as popular
