    2000 Air Nautique

    What do you guys think?

I am going to look at the boat this Saturday. NADA has it at 15k.

    Thoughts?

    That is my old boat.

I purchased it from Sea World of OH, it was in the show. Strong runner. Fast. I sold it to a person in OH back in 2004. Looks like he sold it to KS.

There are a couple gel coat crack in the back port corner. Nothing concerning.

Other then that clean. If the gauge say 400 add 37 to it. The gauges worked when I got it from Sea World, but I replaced anyways. I never had an issue. I sold it with 105 hours +37, so 145 total (I looked up the emails just now)

I re-stickered it. Also added the extended pylon under the Fly High

Ah.....do those boats have any provisions for ballest tanks or would it have to be bags in the boat? I have thought about selling my 83 SN and upgrading a few years.......Thanks

The one listed didn't have ballast, but I didn't want it that way. Those tanks only held 400 LBS, and you could get 600 out of a sack. Plus all the storage when a sack was empty. The 1998-2004 Sport/Air was the best Nautique I've owned.Best all around.

Divis....I'm going to be in KC saturday as well. Let me know if you'd like another set of eyes on the boat.

Where do you do your boating in the Des Moines area?

Storm; I go on the Des Moines river at the Des Moines Power Boat club. Actually the same place where that guy died on fathers day. I also go to Saylorville.

We have a lake house in the Ozarks as well.

In 2000, an Air Nautique was a Sport Nautique, with different decals, ballast, and a tower. All three items were optional. The hull did not change.

Technically they are all sport nautiques, when ordering you could badge them and equip however you wanted, Sport stickers w/tower & ballast or Air stickers with no tower or ballast, they are all the exact same hull and boat. 2000 Model year also offered the 99' graphics.

Crad, that hull ran 98'-02', after that came the 206 & 216.

Divis, did the boat come back to Iowa? I missed your post before the weekend.

I actually just joined the boat club last winter. Got a 78 Ski Tique and a 96 SNOB we run down there. Not sure if we've met yet, if so I apologize as I'm still trying to get to know everyone. Hopefully see ya down there tomorrow for the potluck.
