Show me where I was accusing you of anything?

I was waiting for you to expand on your answer so maybe I could learn something new since you say you did the research. If you talked to Nautique, I'd love to know what they said and when/why made and stopped being made.

Dont go lumping me in thinking I am sitting around thinking you are some dip$h!t as you put it.

Defensive much? Jeez. Not trying to "make fun of the newbie" here.

After using them last season, I'd say they stopped making them because it was a very poor design. Hard to get to, my boards did not fit well, the black padding was not where it needed to be, just poor. That's the reason I traded up to the swivels.

I'm defensive because the tone of both of your responses are as if I'm trying to get over on someone, or sell broken product. I'm simply trying to make improvements to my boat and sell the stuff that comes off and I don't need. Not run some scam.

I do not have 10+ 20+ years of nautique experience. I have about 6 months. And almost all that I have learned has been from reading it on the Internet. Almost zero hands on trial and error. But I'll get there. I love my boat and I think nautique quality is unmatched. I wish I had the resources to "prove it". But I don't. So hopefully the family that bought them love them and that's that.

Evidently the happy family bought this:
"Used: An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections"

"These are a very limited version of these clips, designed to contour with the flow of the tower"

        not this:
"After using them last season, I'd say they stopped making them because it was a very poor design. Hard to get to, my boards did not fit well, the black padding was not where it needed to be, just poor."

^^^^Whats not to be happy about??????^^^

Nobody is picking on you scott or trying to chase you away, we simply asked questions and provided opinion, which you mentioned above has been your greatest resource, however when it was not what you wanted to hear, that opinion became "priceless" or was "making fun" of you???

Oh, and seeing another boat with bent clips, lol, apparently that should not be too hard to find as most of those contributing to this thread have ended up with bent clips on their boats for whatever reason, I too have caught them on my lift however never enough to "custom contour" them.

Whatever Dude, don't know that you intended to deceive initially however in the end it certainly appears you sold a bill of goods. Not only on EBay but here as well. Certainly would welcome being proven wrong however, as mentioned previously, find it very hard to believe that CC would put anything that screwed up and dysfunctional on any of their "unmatched quality" boats.

I can say that when I got my boat last year (a 2004 SV211) two of the clips were straight, one was slightly bent, and one was way off... I assumed the PO had bent them, but couldn't imagine it.

But then, I had tied up one time on a dock with some high wood poles on the dock that were at the same height as the clips. On one windy afternoon, the boat was blown down the dock and the clips smacked the pole. Suddenly I could see how easy it would be for a couple of tons of boat/people driven by wind (or momentum) could easily tweak the clips.

hoping to someday replace them with a nice set of spinner racks.

So what did you replace them with? I hate the flight clips and also hate how they soak me and the interior of my boat when I put a wet board in them.
