We PN members do thrive on pics! Also post the hours, and any info you have on the stringers/flooring. Lots to ascertain on on '86 for prospective buyer. $7k could be worth it to the right buyer, you never know? Pricing can certainly be regional, as we just picked up a mint '86 MC for $4,500 (not a CC, but you get the idea).'08 196LE (previous)

Yeah i understand what your saying ive been lurking around here awhile and have worked in the industry so this is not my first rodeo so to speak. I just threw it up not really expecting much as i have it for sale locally. I really just did not appreciate the "swing for the fences" remark. And as far as the MC im sure that is a great boat but honestly here a sn 2001 is in much higher demand due to its wakeboarding wake. Regular Sn, Mc and other boats of the like are quite a bit cheaper because there arent alot of skiers that want them. Also i dont know how to post pics and when i made the post i didnt have them yet. Anyway end of rant all good craigslist has been good to me.

I sold an 86 2 years ago for $5200. How's that for research. Big difference between blue book and what people are willing to pay. Again, I didn't question it's worth but its hard to get blue book value out of a boat that old. You can see mine in my profile pics. It was in great shape, but had no interests over 6k.

I also know a guy who just sold his '08 196 for $37k, so you just never know. I sold my '08 last year for $30k and thought I did well.'08 196LE (previous)

Hey no worries. Ya i am proud of my 2001 its a great little boat. Only reason we r selling is because the wife is letting me get something newer with a vdrive. Im really trying to just ask what it seems the market is dictating. I am certainly flexible on the price. I tried to look at other boats from a variety of sources to settle on a price. I didnt use blue book at all because at least in northern cali it doesnt seem to account for demand for one boat or another. People out here seem to love these boats as ive had a moderate amount of interest on it through craigslist. This is totally anecdotal but it seems that in our area the hard core skiers either have new boats, a club boat or something of that nature because Ski nautiques, mc prostar 190 etc are much cheaper than boats that are perceived as "wake boats" I see sport nautiques for outlandish prices when compared to ski nautiques of similar year. Anyway not trying to go on and on just letting you know where i was coming from. Thanks for all the feed back. I do now have pics but i dont know how to post them. By the way scott i looked at your 2001 it was really nice. I actually prefer the blue as mine is maroon.
