I just really need to scale back. The economy has hit Orlando and our fire department hard. (at least that is what our county leaders tell us) Sad about selling, but will probably try to get an older Excel or BF Nautique. Thanks for the suggestion though...

Do you have any pics showing what the outside of the entire boat looks like? There are lost of pics of the details of the boat but nothing really that shows a full shot of the boat from the side

Sorry Mark, I just saw this. i will try to get a couple side pics.... I will tell you it's basically like new. There is one or two very small (not noticeable unless you know they are there) scrapes in the large side decal, that do not go through. This boat has been kept on a lift in a covered boathouse since new, and the local dealer can vouch for the condition.

As a fellow firefighter, I completely feel your pain. We're basically in the same situation as you. They keep saying there's a light at the end of the tunnel. That tunnel must be a long one because I don't see the light. Sorry you have to sell. Great looking boat.

S_Kelly, Thank you - I will miss this boat a TON. I did find a 91 excel with 454 for cheap, but needs a lot of work... Floor feels solid though.

Nauti-Cats, Our governor is after our pension and in 2011 they changed the State constitution to make us pay for our retirement (about a $150-$200/month pay cut) on top of 5 years with no raise and being 'moved' to a catastrophic insurance plan in 2010. I don't know how they can change the rules of the game, in the middle of the game and it's legal..... Oh well. Take care brother.

Super 01, I made up about 6-7, 6"PVC tubes about 4' long, that I filled with used lead tire weights, then added sand. They are probably #100 each. I put 3 in the belly, and the others I placed in the rear storage. for surfing I put all the rear tubes to the surf side, fill surf side tank(duh) and belly half full. That makes a surfable wave, but sometimes I also placed a sack on the floor on the surf side.

So about 300# in the belly with 1/2 a belly tank, and then about 400# plus a full aft tank on surf side. I've go some fat sacs, I will give that a try. Thanks!

Good luck reviving your Excel. Those are great boats, especially with the big block. I look forward to seeing some pics once you get her cleaned up.
