rman - I may be interested in the rack. How big is the gap between the forks? I'm looking for a rack for 2 surfboards but most of the surfboard rack gaps are too big resulting in the board bouncing up and down and damaging/dented the board. Also, what's the distance between the clamps? I want to make sure the crossbar on my tower is wide enough.

The fork gap between the rubber is 1", and center to center on the mounting brackets is 8". If you need anything else let me know. Thanks
