New Nautique Under Tower Bimini for FCT Gen 2

Well, I finally found a brand new Nautique bimini that I could mount on my tower. After installing, I have realized that I cannot use this bimini with my Westounds Double Up speaker set. I guess when it comes to shade or tunes, I am picking tunes. This was purchased as a brand new unit so only the hardware was installed. The bimini was in the sun for 5 minutes as I realized that the speakers were too big so I took it back off. The bimini still has tags on it and will come with all hardware, storage boot, and instructions. This was a great looking bimini and would work with factory tower speakers, but the Wetsounds I have are too big. Below are pics of when I installed it and what it looks like.

    Color: Gray
    Price: $450
Shipping: Buyer Responsible or local pick-up

FWIW, I have what looks to be an identical bimini on my 2003 and it fits fine with a pair of Rev410's and room to spare. I mounted the forward bar more towards the centerline of the horizontal bar which should bring the overall height of your bimini down some. You will also need to move the rear bar down as well. Before you go drilling more holes, see if you can't get someone to help you hold it in place to mock it up. I don't see any reason why you can't make that top work. If you need more info I can send some pics your way of mine.

I would love some pics to take a look. I mounted according to the instructions and had the same thoughts about adjusting my moutning position to gain space, but still did not look like enough. Measuring with a tape measure, moving the center mount down would only gain me 3/4" which was still not enough. Plus, it put the rear cross bar right in the middle of the Pro 80 which had a negative effect on space. Someone may be able to give some info, but I think the new Rev series do not hang as low as the old Pro series. Would still like to look at some pics. Also, if you could measure from the rear cross bar of the bimini to the tower, that woudl be great also.

      Thanks!!!!

I know its obviously a different manufacturer but when looking at mine I would say mine is installed backwards to yours....

have you tried just for the excercise turning yours around so the large pull down straps are at the rear??

I have not tried flipping it around. The pic that shows the Nautique "N" goes towards the back and the fabric slopes down in the back. Not sure how it would look if the fabric came down in the front. Might try to just for the heck of it because it would not hurt anything.

I will try and get the measurements you need in the next day or two as well as some pics to help better explain. It may be that the legs for the hoops are longer on your bimini causing it to sit higher than mine. I will measure the leg length as well.

I actually contacted Nautique on the bimini and they got with NautiqueParts.com who found one in the back. I am not sure if they have anymore, but they acted as if this one was the last. That is why they are not listed on the website for sale. I know there are other aftermarket units available, but I am sure this was one of the last Nautique production biminis out there since this tower was not used after 05.

The cover was purchased new right before I purchased the boat off a Nautique member. Do not think he posts anymore, but he bought the cover and trailer guides right before I bought the boat this time last year.

Hopefully these pics show up well enough for you. Hope all the measurements make sense.

12 3/8" = From the bottom side of the rear tower hoop to the top of the rear bimini hoop.
2 1/2" = Bottom of speaker housing to top of rear bimini hoop.
18 1/2" = Length of rear bimini leg.
14 3/4" = Distance between the top of the rear tower leg mount and center point of bimini rear leg mount.
17 3/8" = Distance between the center point of the front tower leg hinge to the center point of the bimini front leg mount.
22" = Distance from the front leg mount to the top rear leg mount. I measured these at the tubing end of the mount, so this is the length of tubing you see between the mounts.

Core, thanks for the measurements and the pics make perfect sense. I know you went to a lot of trouble doing all that and I appreciate it!!!! I can definitely tell my 80's hang lower than your Rev 410's. I am sure with the Z5 cargo biminis and other issues like I am having prompted Wetsounds to revamp their mounting for the Rev's. I guess one sure fire way to solve my problem would be for you to trade your 410's for my double up. To show how appreciative I am for you taking pics and measurements, I will even pay shipping :-)

This bimini is not going to work with my set-up so it is definitely for sale. I spoke with my brother-in-law who manufactures socks for a living and ships UPS daily. He said it would be approximately $30 to ship to your zip code which sounded cheap to me, but he knows better than I do. If you want the bimini, please PayPal $480 to bmcglothin@ajbank.com. If shipping goes over the $30, I will cover the difference.

WHAT??????????? I offer you the deal of a lifetime and you throw back in my face....LOL. Once again, thanks for going to all the trouble to measure everything out for me. I wish it would have worked, but the older Wetsounds just hang too far. I would love to keep the bimini and go the Rev series route, but funds do not allow. Thanks again and your boat looks great!!!!!!!!!!
