Do you want to own a piece of Correct Craft Ski Nautique history? This special promotional boat was delivered from Correct Craft dealer with the Stars & Stripes paint scheme it still wears today. This boat has never been left in the water and has been garaged its whole life. The boat has only 1,375 hours on it, its been carefully maintained its whole life and is still in great shape. The engine is original 255HP, 351cid Ford Windsor and runs like new. It rides on a homemade trailer (also made in 1975) that adds to its “vintage” appeal. I even have the owner’s manual and Escort engine guide with handwritten maintenance log from when the boat was being actively used.
There are only 4 items on this boat that have been changed/added since it was new: driver’s seat was reupholstered, carpet replaced (with original style/color), windshield frame anodized, and swim deck added. That’s it; the rest is just as delivered from Sacramento area dealer in 1975.
There are two very unique features on this boat: stars and stripes Ski Nautique lettering on the side and flames painted around rear air vents. The story I’ve been told is that there were two boats given these features at factory and one went to east coast, the other to west coast. This boat has been in California its whole life. For its first couple of years, the original ownerused it as tow boat for Santa Clara Ski Club and then it was sold to second owner where it’s been well cared for since then. The two older looking pictures above were taken in 1975 when the boat was launched for the very first time.
In 2004, the boat was given a marine inspection and appraisal for insurance purposes. Everything checked out great and the last lines of appraisal say, “This is a very exceptional boat for its age and has been well cared for. Value is well over book, our estimation would be $12,000 to $14,000 in present condition.” Since then, the boat has only 75 additional hours put on it, has been well maintained, garage stored, and is in same condition. The asking price is $10,000.
What I can say is that this is a fantastic boat for water skiing and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s been trouble free and very dependable. Correct Craft made a great boat back then that has shown it can stand the test of time. Is it time for you to bring this classic Ski Nautique home for your enjoyment?
