    2001 Super Air Nautique

Im reposting my boat for sale because it is being shipping to the mainland so I can sell it. Will be arriving in Portland around July 7th ish maybe earlier and I will be hauling it to South Lake Tahoe, CA.

    01 Super Air Nautique.

This boat is great for someone that does anticipate to use in saltwater because it is pretty much impossible to find this year ready for saltwater and this boat has never even seen saltwater!

I bought it 7 years ago with 150 hrs. the boat now has 610. the digital gauges went out at around 280 and i went out a hand full of times so i add 300 hrs to the faria gauges (they show 310). when i had the gauges installed at west coast correct craft, i also had the pitot removed and patched on the back so it looks really clean

    gt40 motor

2900 lbs of ballast with jabsco pumps (4 pumps and 4 bags)

Jl audio marine stereo all the way down to the wires

    fresh air exhaust

    perfect pass installed in 2008

    closed cooling

    2009 DHM galvanized trailer

i gave it a tuned up 5 years ago (cap, rotor, wires, plugs etc.)

    oil changes every 50 hrs

    tranny changed every 100

I bought this boat with out any of the extras on it 7 years ago and the first 4 years I had it, I was in Lake Tahoe. 3 years ago I shipped it to kauai and have been using it on Wailua River (brackish water, 90% of the time its fresh water). But it has still been flushed after every use. Very little signs of corrosion, the things that do show corrosion are just from the air here, mostly just the aluminum parts getting chaulky and the powder coating wanting to flake. Most people would say zero signs of corrosion but I am very particular. The windsheild frame and the tower are still in good shape. As well the motor mounts and manifolds have no rust. Ive kept really good care of my boat and it is ready to take really good care of its new owner. The only reason I am selling it is because I want a slalom boat. I am sure there are plenty of other extras that I cant think of right now.

Boat will be in Tahoe by Friday. This thing is in good shape, I just bought a 2010 200 and I feel like my 2001 is in better condition. Ready to sell so I am open to offers. I already miss the gt40!!

Im surprised I haven't gotten even a single inquiry about this boat. I know I had it priced a little high but not even a single offer. Now that it is here, Im ready to wheel and deal.

Anybody have any ideas why I haven't gotten any hits on this boat?

I think you still have it priced on the high end of where these boats are selling for that model year and the fact that it was used in brackish water probably is scaring off the people that would consider it given there is plenty of fresh-water only boats out there available at or below your sale price.

I figured the brackish water might have people thrown off but this thing has zero signs of corrosion and brackish water has never ran through the block of the motor. I have seen them go for a little cheaper but not with a nice stereo, a full custom ballast system and perfect pass That being said, I have no problem selling it for less with out the stereo. I can just throw it into my new boat.

Adding accessories such as stereo, LED lights, and other goodies aren't really going to raise the value too much. Kind of like putting a lift kit and big tires and nice wheels on a truck. Looks cool but doesn't really raise the overall value unfortunately. They will however help sell the boat if price is equal over a like vessel without them. That's just my $.02 though. I've been customizing my stuff all my life. I know I'm never going to get the money back. Strip what you can and sell outright or put in your new boat like you said. You'll never get the full amount out of the extras back.

No doubt, I feel like this year and model go for 25 all day long. I'm just trying to get a extra 1000 out if 10k worth of accessories. I'm no fool when it comes to add ons but for someone that really rides, a ballast system really pays off. And if you have a wife, perfect pass is mandatory lol. Obviously you are right about the price, maybe I will sit on it for a while but can't you see that I am very patient about selling things?

The truth is this transition from wakeboarding to slalom skiing was way more expensive then I planned . If I wasn't sick of injuries from wakevoarding I would keep this boat for another 15 yrs.

Bump... In Tahoe this winter and thinking about un shrink wrapping this thing. I'm motivated if someone is interested. It's a great boat ready to run another 20 years.

How about switching to foiling instead of skiing. You can then keep this boat. It works great for foiling, and you are less likely to get hurt foiling than slalom skiing.
