I agree that slaloming is far less dangerous than wakeboarding. But torn rotator cuffs are not unheard of with slaloming, as well as the occassional busted ear drum. No one makes fun of hydrofoilers for wearing helmets, so busted ear drums are less common. Now, if you get so good at foiling that you are riding at 28 and launching 40' into the air, then yes, you can knock yourself out and possibly get hurt. Nevertheless, there is a reason why many people switch to foiling when they are tired of the abuse from the other watersports, and it's not just because it's the most fun.Now
