Nice boat at a fair price! Bhectus aren't you up for an adventure? Nothing like driving across the country to buy a boat.

As tempting as it is, I've set my limit at 500 miles. When you start adding up fuel costs, hotel, food, etc, you have to figure those into the price. There's deals to be had closer to home. But if I was anywhere in the northeast, I would be seriously pursuing that boat.

The buyer for my 97 drove from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Houston, TX. He seemed happy once he saw the boat. As long as it is represented well I wouldn't mind the drive. I would hate to drive half way across the country to find our the boat is not what the seller represented.

That's one of my biggest fears. You drive that far and you are pot-committed almost. The last boat I looked at I drove away over $500. It wasn't as turn-key as the seller had claimed and my water test started out by me having to break out my toolbox and fix his alternator belt that was so loose it could be pulled off by hand. Luckily I only drove an hour and a half for that one.

Teleman, sorry for the thread-jack. I love your boat, it's beautiful. Best of luck with your sale!

Thanks for the compliments. I can assure anyone this boat will not need wrenches to go pull skiers or wakeboarders. In fact it just went through the course here on Winnisquam. I try to keep it in the best condition as possible and top running condition. Simple, push "Start" and go have fun.....

                      Teleman,

New boat is fantastic. I already met my summer goal of barefooting again after a 13 year hiatus. I bought a new Radar ski, but am still unable to make it through the slalom course -- need to get my strength and timing back. I started wake boarding and wake surfing this weekend -- great way to have fun in the middle of the day when all the boats are out. I'm still trying to figure out the ballasts, need to play with it a bit more.

The kids and family are delighted and I am suddenly a lot more popular with my friends! Beautiful boat. The kids especially like diving off the tower and I am convinced that they will be slaloming by the end of the summer.

Thanks again for all the time you spent with us. We named the boat the SS RI, as in SSRI, because of its affect on everyone's mood! -- ask a doctor if you don't get the reference. Good times.
