Looking for a little bit of help. Im looking at a 2007 SV211 with 170 hours on it. Asking price is 35,000 it has every option except factory ballast system. Boat is in great shape and it has been well maintained. fresh water use only! Just looking for some things to check out on the boat and what you all think would be a fair price to pay?

Looking to buy 2007 SV211
sounds like a great price. I would be asking at least $40K for mine and I don't have the options. Depends on condition, of course.
And if that one doesn't pan out there's a beautiful one WITH ballast (as well as the other options) in the area for a little more moola.

That's a decent price. I beat it a by a bit, but mine was an 04.
What to look for? Well, I would say, check the ballast valves, because mine were bad, but you won't have them. You will probably wish you did as drilling holes in your hull is not on the top of my list.
Then check for regular maintenance records. Has it sat for a while? Seven years and only 170 hours means it could have sat for a couple years and not received the love it needed. Mine had sat for 18 months before being sold, so some of the plastic bits were old, some valves were rusted shut, etc. The alternator tested well initially and then failed. Replace the impeller and all the maintenance bits just to be safe. Does the hydrogate move smoothly?
Try to think of the stuff that isn't easy for you to fix yourself and make sure it works. Was the tranny fluid and v-drive fluid changed... that could be expensive to repair. Stereo is easy to fix if it doesn't work (I replaced all the in boat speakers with upgrades). But if the engine wasn't kept up, even after only 170 hours you could have expensive problems.
Does the interior look in good shape? It should look new at those hours, with no cracks, etc. Snap-in carpet may be getting bad as the backing gets old and falls apart. That is about $750 or so to replace, or $1,000 to upgrade to SeaDek (my plan).
Really everything else just hums along, which is what I love about Nautique. How is the trailer? Does it look like it was maintained as well? Does it need new brakes/tires, etc? Some of those little things can add up over time.
Good luck with the purchase... it should be a great boat at that age.
