After long thought, and the last few years of extremely light use, I have decided that I am going to sell my 1999 502 power Super Air Nautique.

502 c.i. Python engine. Yep, the REAL Python.

I have owned the boat since 2005, 135 hours. She throws a huge wake. You will love this watercraft. Couple small seat seam splits, and one trailer scratch below the water line. Boat is in great shape.

Jack and Brad, yep, it is true. I hardly use it anymore. Kids are grown and gone, friends now have kids or other stuff going on. It has been a great run, and I have loved every minute of her. Life changes. I am going to keep the Mustang I restored for my wife, downsize the dock, and just putt around. I can still go ride elsewhere when I want to.

A Python will push you just north of 50 mph in a Super Sport/Super Air. Fuel consumption at wakeboard speeds is very comparable to the small blocks. 23 mph with 2000 lbs of ballast it just hums along at about 2400 rpm. If you get on the throttle and fly around you will burn through some serious fuel but under normal conditions I have been very happy with the fuel consumption.

Well dang. I completely understand. I every once in a while consider selling mine to get something newer, but one drive across the lake usually fixes that. Good luck in the sale. These boats with that motor are just freaking beasts. I have a buddy that just said the other day that he thought when I first bought mine that I was nuts, but multiple summers in it and we only take mine now. He loves it.

Sold my Python 3 years ago, and I can still hear that roar. Miss it for sure.

Fuel consumption on mine was right there with the small blocks for normal weighted riding conditions. It would easily pop right out of the hole and cruise real low revs.

Great looking boat should be easy to sell, if you follow through . I was "selling" mine for about 2 years until I actually did it. I would detail it out, take pictures, take it for a test drive and mechanically test everything, and then change my mind.
