Yeah, I know it's a longshot, but someone must have a 1991 to 1994 Nautique Excel or Barefoot Nautique from the same years ready to sell their boom...?
howdy,
I have just sold my '91 excel, have a BI recurve/Vdrive boom I can part with,
excellent shape, no scratches or fades / email me at hank_cobb@yahoo.com if you don't have one yet
tom,
I do have my boom available now, sold my boat. The boom is 4 years old, no blems/fades/nicks etc. You will need to adjust your tow pylon up in the back, because the top part is tapered. I would advise this to get a flush fit with the BI boom bracked throughout the length of the bracket. There is a height bolt on the pylon. Remove that, play with the bracket and mark where you will need to drill the hole. Mine was approx 1.5"-2" below the OEM hole. This inturn bumps up the above deck height of the pylon but still keeps part of it below the lower U/shackle bolt for stability. Hope this helps
