Sky Ski Price - need some help to get a value

I bought a Sky Ski new in 2008 and have used it occasionally over the years as none of my friends are all that interested.

I tried to get a value through foilforum but that was all over the map.

I want to sell this and my neighbors kid is interested. I want to get a fair value for it and hope that someone on this forum can help me.

    Many thanks!

If it were my neighborhood kid that was interested, then I'd offer it to him at price below market value, something that allows him to get into the sport, and still have some gas money left over. I'd take a hit on the resale and hope that the kid loves doing it enough that he pays it forward sometime when he has the chance.

Thanks. That is pretty much what I was thinking. My issue is I haven't any idea what it's worth. If I think it is $1000 and its value is only $500, I'd feel pretty bad. These are the things you get done and forget about but haunt you down the road. The market value is exactly what I need.

$675 - $750. The T-bar and wings need to be stripped and re-ano'd or polished.

BTW, I used to wakeboard with 2 guys frequently. I tore up my ankle, tried the sky ski while I was recovering and never went back to wakeboarding. One of my mates then did the same after I got into the foil. The other (the best wakeboarder of the 3 of us) had trouble with the sky ski (took a long time to get up the first time and couldn't really ride flat or straight once he did). He never got into it and now does not ride with us. Until today, he is the only person I knew of that ever saw the sky ski / air chair and was not amazed by it. Once you see someone go really big on a hydrofoil, everything else seems sort of meh... Some people are scared of it because it looks really dangerous, but the falls are way easier on you, unless you start riding at 25 mph and up and start going really big. Then you can get the crap beaten out of you (but still no blown-out knees or ankles).

I'm the east coast and only know of a few other people that ride 'foils. I would definitely try to polish that T-bar. If nothing else happens with your setup on your side of the country, send me a PM some time. I have that T-bar on an older board. My board is about shot, so it is time to upgrade. I'll never find a used one around here!
