    2015 G23 70 hrs Excellent Shape

Now selling my G23 that is in excellent condition with 70 hrs on it. It has the 450 hp motor with most options. The boat doesn't have the heated seats and the the underwater light or LED cup holder but has everything else. Asking $105,000 US http://www.kijiji.ca/v-powerboat-mot...ationFlag=true

Does you (or anyone) know the rules (taxes, duties, etc.) for shipping to the U.S.?

I have not looked into it but have heard its very easy with the right paper work and depending which state you live in you might have to pay extra tax.

Its a great time to buy a boat in Canada. The paperwork will certainly be worth the savings.

I'm about 2k miles from there, but that is a great price (thanks to the strong USD), and I love the colors.

I have bought a few boats in Canada over the years. No duties no extra taxes were ever charged. I paid the sales tax in the state I registered it in just like I would any other boat I buy. Make sure you have a bill of sale you might have to show it at the boarder.

I am surprised too. You Americans have it good. A new 16 G23 loaded up is coming in at $195,000 CAD plus Tax.

Yikes, that's like 20-30% depreciation in one year and probably worse in other provinces with hst/PST. I think Alberta boats are probably the best deals with the US exchange rate and wacky transfer taxes these days.

It might look like 20-30% depreciation but I think a lot of buyers bought their 2015's before the exchange rate moved and are laughing right now. Ours was brought into Canada at just over 1.1 fx and we paid pretty close to what this one was listed for (with a few more options). For about 5 years boats that are a year old could be sold for pretty much their purchase price. I'm not sure if it will stay that way this year. The G23 with a 550 is over $200K now.

It's going to be a very confusing year for Canadians looking to buying G's (myself included) and not in a good way. I think I'll put it off for a few more years.
