My '79 is for sale. The family is growing and my boat needs to do so as well.
This boat is in great shape for it's age.It would be the perfect boat for someone's next project or a first inboard to buzz around the lake in. The engine runs great with plenty of power. It has the 351 engine that was rebuilt and blueprinted prior to my ownership. I replaced the transmission last season (2014) and has been running like a top. All the flooring is solid, carpet is in good shape and stringers are solid. The trailer is also in good shape. No cracking on the tires as they were replaced two seasons ago. I replaced the marine carpeting on the bunks and the wiring/trailer lights still work. I also replaced the steering wheel, steering cable and dash switches. When I bought the boat, the nav and anchor lights were not working. Had to replace the wiring for both and they now work perfectly. The previous owner had wired two front speakers under the dash and I took the liberty of adding two additional in the rear. The radio works, but I'm keeping the head unit. The only gripe I have for my perfectionist mentality is the vinyl needs replacing. I would have done so this winter, but decided to sell it instead. The hour meter stopped working prior to my ownership. All the work I put into it is to be expected for this boat's age. I completely detailed the gel coat and put two coats of wax on prior to this summer. And now that I've done all the hard work, it's up to someone new to reap the benefits. This boat has been an absolute joy to own.
Ford 351 with Edelbrock carburetor
Teak platform that is solid and has been refinished.
Removable seats for easy cleaning and service work.
