2002 Super Air - ZR6 engine - Lots of upgrades!

I bought this 2002 SANTE in 2009, but since two small children have come along we simply haven't used it much over the past two years. The little ones aren't thrilled about boating, so I've only used it with buddies. As you can imagine the wife isn't incredibly happy about this. Anyway, I need to unload it, and hope it finds a good home.

Here's the story: purchased the boat in 2009, and ran it for several months before learning the engine was significantly damaged. Everything checked out in the inspection. Just seemed like bad luck. So asked Lake Area Watersports in Melrose, FL (boat is currently located in Jacksonville) to find a new engine. They purchased a ZR6 with 100 hours from the Correct Craft factory and installed it. The ZR6 has a closed cooling system, which I needed since the boat is used in brackish water. The new motor has run great ever since. The only issue I have had was a water pump failure last year (I'm compulsive about pre-checks and noticed water wasn't flowing through the strainer while still at the marina), which was promptly replaced.

The engine is an absolute beast. I estimate I put about 100 hours per year on it in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and 25 hours/year in 2014 and 2015. The boat had its last major service in winter 2014, which included all fluids changed, riser gasket replacement, shaft repacked, and cutlass bearing replacement. I've been religious about mechanical maintenance, but full disclosure is warranted: this is a brackish/saltwater boat. Everyone that has had a ski boat in this climate (or really anyone that has had any boat), can tell you that it’s basically impossible to prevent rust. So, please don't inquire if you are looking for a pristine lake boat. It will be a waste of both of our time.

Interior is in decent shape. Not what you'll find on a boat that has been covered in a garage for its entire life, but nor are there many major rips or tears. All of the seat cushions are intact. The vinyl has been treated regularly and is nice and soft. The biggest issue is the sundeck seams have split, as you can see in the picture. The rear seat back also has discoloration from the cover sitting on it during storage. I forgot to get a picture of it, but can drive over to the marina in short order for more pics.

It’s currently stored in a dry stack, but it has an Eagle galvanized single axle trailer. Last service was in winter 2014 and it has not driven but 15 miles since.

I put a ton of time into upgrades. Big thanks to planetnautique's forum members for suggestions and direction.

    Stereo
I've done car stereo work since I was a teenager, so naturally had to upgrade the stock system.
    - Clarion CMD5 head unit
    - six new Polk 6.5s in the main interior
    - two Bullet 7.7" HollowPoint HLCD tower speakers
    - one JL 10w3 subwoofer in custom ported enclosure under dash(big thanks to Earmark for their help with design)
    - Alpine PDX-5 running four interior speakers and the sub
    - Alpine PDX 4.100 running the towers (bridged)
    - Wetsounds WS-420
    - 0-gauge power cable - marine grade tinned
    - Brand new speaker wiring throughout - marine grade tinned
    - Second battery - Interstate deep cycle
    - Perko battery switch

    Ballast System
I removed the stock tanks to make from for Fly High sacs and installed Jabsco Ballast Puppies. The boat has three Jabsco pumps mounted behind the rear seat, one serving the center, left and rear compartments. I have several more Fly High sacs that will come with the boat, including two 400 pounders, a third 750, and a cube. Each pump is wired to a new switch panel, which is installed over one of the old useless pockets in the console. The pumps can be operated independently. All new wiring for the pumps (pre-tinned of course). If I recall it’s all 10 gauge.

    Other upgrades/accessories
    - Perfect Pass GPS system
    - Acme 644 four-blade prop
    - Fresh Air Exhaust
    - Depth finder
    - Dedicated bilge pump circuit (bypassing control panel)
    - Powdercoated windshield frame
    - High-density polyethylene engine dividers
    - Tower Biminis custom top
    - Coversports cover, including separate platform cover
    - Pop-up pylon – see this thread http://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/fo...ylon-group-buy
    - I can include wakesurf boards at a reasonable price. Inland Surfer Sweet Spot, and the big model (I think Red Rocket).

Obviously I have a lot more into the boat than I can get out of it considering the engine swap. Still, I think it adds value considering its five years newer. Asking $21,750. Pics to follow

Boat has been in dry stack so haven't checked on trailer in a while. Trailer is in bad shape. No point in repairing.

Price drop to $19,500 with new trailer.

Bring your own trailer and price drops to $17,000.

Good luck. This seems like a great deal, especially for someone who would use it in that same area (brackish water). I would never let my 02 SANTE go for that!

I have a Sweet Spot, how does the Walker compare? I like the IS but have had it for 6 years and am looking for something different.

TWP board is more like a skim style. Sort of rides like a Phase 5. Its much less floaty than the Sweet Spot and requires a bigger wake. Here's a pic of a similar board to mine.
