Our family has outgrown our durable ’85 SN, so we’'ve upgraded to a 2001 Sport and don'’t have space for two boats. We purchased the boat in Feb. 2008 with 1040 hrs and here is a short list of improvements and maintenance:
2008: Complete refresh of the interior. New subfloor in driver/observer area, new marine carpet from Capri, complete set of vinyl skins by Christine’s (note the ’86 pattern vs. the ’85, looks better) Dryfast foam used to rebuild all seats, drivers’ seat tracks, new steering tube and clamp block, fuel tank sender, water circulation pump, new alternator, new 2 AWG battery cables, and a Flush Pro kit.
2009: Complete top end engine rebuild: new hydraulic lifters, push-rods, roller rockers, GT-40 heads, Edlebrock Performer manifold, new Holley 4160, Mallory Magnetic Breakerless distributor, and a Summit double roller timing chain and gear set.
Also in 2009 I replaced the original trailer with a 1993 CC trailer that came from a Sport Nautique. 2015 updates to the trailer include new tires, new bearings, LED lights and diamond plate running boards. Surge brakes are operational with new Master cylinder coupler installed 2015 also.
Recent mx includes new throttle and shift cables, new plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap, fuel pump and filter. Current hourmeter is 1164.
Equipment included: Titan One wakeboard tower, Carver Bimini, (mounts on tower or boat if tower removed), ACME 542 prop (freshly rebuilt), OJ 13x13 prop, (rebuilt about 2 years ago) Hummingbird Depth Finder, Westland Sunbrella cover.
