FS: Black 1997 super sport nautique w/ auto ballast perfect pass and more

Up for sale is a 1997 super sport nautique. Boat has been my pride and joy for the past 5 years. Lots of time and money has went into this boat to make it the head turner that it is today.

    the detais:

    Boat mechanic owned and maintained.
1997 super sport nautique w/ Ramlin single axle trailer.
Trailer has been overhauled. New tires, bearings, bunk carpet and had the brakes serviced and working.

Boat has black gelcoat top deck matched to the black factory stripe. Nearly flawless gelcoat finish top and bottom.
Custom one of a kind real carbon fiber wrapped swim platform with seadek material layed out in the nautique style pattern. Original teak platform also included.
New cover made last year custom fit to the boat. Snaps are mounted under neath the rub rail for the back section so no snaps on shown in the gelcoat. Separate snap in bow cover which works great for colder days to make the boat closed bow and cut the air flow down through the boat.
All new upholstery in great condition.
New driver seat with pivoting bolster to see over the front of the boat easier.
Factory dash panels have been replaced with real carbon fiber panels.
All stainless steel rails, cleats, caps, etc have been professionally powder coated gloss black.
Tower, board racks, speaker enclosures, and mirror bracket all have been powder coated the same gloss black.
Over the top foldable tower bimini

    Stereo/lighting details:
    Pioneer bluetooth head unit
4 polk marine speakers on the tower
4 polk marine speakers in the boat custom flush mounted to make sitting more comfortable.
12" kicker cvx subwoofer in custom box underneath driver dash
kicker 1250 watt amp to drive the subwoofer
kicker 400 watt 4 channel to run the highs in boat and on the tower

4 attwood blue underwater platform lights on custom "\__/" shaped bracket
blue led strip lighting in the gunwhales.

    Auto ballast:
3 jabsco ballast puppies controlled at the helm to fill 2450 lbs of auto ballast
900lb sumo sac on each side of the engine
650 triangle bow sac under the floor up in the bow
All sacs have quick connects for easy removal and vents with check valves so they can be filled to the max and then drained completely dry.
Rear engine area has custom engine dividers to allow sacs to be filled to the max.
One of a kind custom made surf tabs to make an awesome clean surf wave on boat port and starboard side waves.

    Engine:
Fuel injected gt40 engine meticulously maintained. 1350 hours on it and it doesnt skip a beat and has never left me stranded. These motors are known to rack up 3000 hrs with just general service. There is a reason that nautique used them in all of their tow boat for 10 years without changing a thing.
    Impeller changed every year
Engine oil changed every 50 hours
v-drive and transmission oil done every season
spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor changed last year.
    perfect pass speed control

I am sure I am missing a few things but the boat is nearly flawless for a 1997. It gets compliments all the time and is truly a turn key ready surf/wakeboard/tow boat. The only reason I am selling is because an opportunity has come my way to get a new boat that I cant pass up. The boat is still being used and in the water right now (stays in a hoist) so serious buyers/interested parties can see how well it performs. Additional pictures will be post within the next week or so

    Asking price $24,000 obo

Nice! I just bought a '97, thinking of doing the same ballast set up as you have. Did you happen to do a write-up about your install somewhere?
        Good luck with sale!

I don't have a write up but the rear bags share a 2" through hull pick up and the front bow bag has its own 1" pick up. All switches mounted by rear hatch/sundeck switch.

I wish you were closer. You couldn't be further away, in fact. Awesome looking boat. I'm looking for a nice, turnkey SAN in the San Diego / Southern California area @ $25k or less. We've still got months of season left and I'm out of a boat. Good luck! Doug

There is a post at http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/m...21/423605.html which kind of explains the process. The thread at https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/f...ighlight=db651 also should give some ideas of how this can be done. Not sure but I thought Orzech had a write up also, but I couldnt find it.

solid mounted them to the panel and modified the foam to mount properly. Then had my upholstery guy do the vinyl around the speaker from where they were positioned.

Still available? I am looking for a ski boat to replace my 1992 Boston Whaler Montauk. For kids learning to ski, slalom skiing and wakeboarding. A 1998 Maristar 200 is available at the local marina (Candlewood Lake, Ct) with 700 hrs, good condition, no tower. Not sure I need a tower. How is your boat different? Thanks.

How important is the skiing vs wake boarding? I'd suggest posting in the general section, the posted boat is very good for wake boarding but also very customized. For your budget there may be other options for you if you are looking for an all rounder family boat as opposed to a wakeboard specific boat.
