Hydrophase GPS-based speed control (compete w/ Perfect Pass) for mechanical throttle

After some research and talking to the owner of Hydrophase, who is also the product's Chief Engineer, I decided to buy his product Fall of (2015). I installed it on my 1999 Air Nautique. Late this Summer, the boat was totaled in an on-trailer accident. I ended up keeping the Hydrophase unit for my new boat, but in the end, I'm too lazy to remove the old Perfect Pass unit, which works fine. I estimate it is probably 6 to 8 hours of work between removing the old, installing the new, so here we are.

Having used both, I can say the Hydrophase offers significant improvements in:
    0. Bigger screen with more info.
    1. User-friendly-ness since the dial-wheel is much easier to use to adjust the target speed than the up / down arrow buttons. (especially when moving from surf speeds to wake boarding).
    2. More feature rich as the Perfect Pass doesn't allow for managing individual riders, keeping their riding stats, preferences, etc.
    3. Keeps speed closer to the target than the Perfect Pass unit. The PP unit wanders more.
    4. Target speeds may be set to .1 mph vs. .3 mph on the PP.
    5. The Hydrophase has other "tuning" settings which I never used since it worked so well for me out of the box.

This sale includes all installation hardware, and the longer 20' servo drive cable, which makes it suitable for v-drive or direct drive applications (Direct Drive only is shorter). I will also be glad to help support the installation process. It is easy to install. And perfectly suited for the GT40 on which I installed. I used it for about 9 months and it is like-new condition without scratch or mar on the dash gauge / bezel / lens, etc.. I also will guarantee it works and have all of the components, including all wires and connections labeled and my own picture set of the installation here: https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B08G0ehgLJFJA1R

Here is the manufacturer's (biased) comparison to PP stargazer: http://www.hydrophase.com/compare/hy...er-differences
If you are curious, the instruction manual is here: http://www.hydrophase.com/sites/defa...compressed.pdf

New, the unit is $1195 plus shipping and tax.

I'm asking $900, carefully packaged (individual components will be bubble wrapped), everything insured, and shipping included in the CONUS.

    Glad to answer any questions.

    thank you,

Someone get this! As a 2-year Hydrophase user who opted to make the switch from one boat (sport) to another (super sport) - and bring the Hydrophase system along, you will absolutely not be disappointed!

Your comments make me want to swap the systems and sell the Perfect Pass! For now, it remains for sale. If I get some free time, I may swap the systems and sell the Perfect Pass unit here. Thanks, Doug
