I prefer the look of the newer NSS plates with the factory covers (instead of the stainless look). Are they not available when the NSS plates are installed later? It just does not look like a factory finished product without the covers. Thanks.

Unfortunately there isn't a cover option like the 14+ models. In 14 they moved the platform location and tweaked the hull which in turn allowed room for the cover plates like you mentioned. Only thing I've seen on those models that kind of disguised them were to wrap or paint them in vinyl that matches the hull. Not sure on durability on that method. I have my plates exposed and quite honestly I'm used to the way the look. The plates are the same finish as my hydrogate and surf pipe so they look good to me. Another thing is when boat is in water you can barely see them. Here are some painted
