The dealer service reports stated it was over heating so they put coolant in it. When they water tested it was found to be missing on 2 cylinders so they replaced the plugs

Yeah...to spend that kind of money on a 6 year old boat with said issues would make me look elsewhere, especially if I couldn't have it checked out. The over heat to me not a big deal if no damage was done, but it kept over heating and all they did was just add coolant and fixed it, i would want to know more from the shop on that, but then that it had fouled 2 plugs after the over heat at 190 hours would throw up a Red flag for me.....

nyryan2001 I agree, the 2 issues wouldn't be related. Sorry my run-on sentence did sound like that I implied that, LOL.... I was just saying that it sounded like it has had multiple Overheating issues and fouled plugs at some point, with under 200 hours. That would make me question this boat if I were in the market for it.

Ran into something similar with a boat on here . Guy was a bit arrogant and that steered me away .
That’s horrible the guy wouldn’t allow an inspection . I would of walked away as well.

Just came across this post. I was the owner the G23 in question. Always two sides to a story . Buyer said he didn't need an inspection after talking to dealer and getting service history released and then he shows up to buy the boat and wants an inspection. I wasn't about to let someone I've never met drive off with my $100K boat without a check in my hand. He was welcome to take it for an inspection but not without me having a check since the nearest dealer was an hour away and since he never scheduled an inspection the dealer couldn't even guarantee they would get to it that day. Plus they would have to spring prep and then re-winterize the boat just to test it. So, again not letting someone drive off with my boat without cash in hand and no guarantee of a timeframe. In addition, our lake was low previous season and went through a channel between lakes and sucked up some muck which caused the overheating issue by the time we made it back to the lift. Dealer went through boat top to bottom and also did all the usual maintenance... plugs, impellers, filters etc as long as it was in. It should also be noted there was less than an hour usage between dealer doing the service and this "buyer" coming to look at it. If a boat was just inspected and serviced within an hour of usage of buying I would feel pretty safe the boat was OK. The boat was hand waxed every season, never beached, never had shoes in it, never had food in it, no kids, etc. If the buyer thinks spiderwebs from winter storage is filthy that is a laugh. Buyer couldn't afford the boat and didn't know what he was doing. As you see... in the last 6 months still hasn't bought a boat. Also, new owner is very happy and loves the boat and said the pictures didn't do it justice to how clean it was. Thought the record should be set straight.
