I personally never thought this day would come, but the time has come for me to downsize. I am embarrassed to say that I have only put 3 hours on this boat in the past two seasons. Life has me going another direction at the moment and this boat will likely sit like in seasons past. I will probably replace it with a nice 82-89 2001 so that could be considered in trade plus cash. Still need something to get my three weekends of boarding in on.
Here are the boat specs:
2001 Super Air ordered through Buxton Marine/Southwest Correct Craft (I have a copy of original build sheet) 502 ci power plant. One of the only 2001 with a 502. All others according to the brochure of that year show the 8.1 496 version which is a different block all together. Hours are not accurate due to gauges being replaced, but I can have the motor scanned to be exact. Guestimated hours are 550. Gauges show 172.1 currently and that is a 9 year span on the 172.1. The engine and transmission run like a top. In 2018 I replaced the steering cable and the servo on the perfect pass pro. I do a new impellor every year including this year. The hull is in good to very good condition. There are not any deep scratches anywhere. Rub rail in average overall condition, but the ends are the new polished Nautique ends that have been discontinued. In 2010 when I purchased the boat I had the tower re-powder coated black with a clear over that. When the tower was apart I added the Nav light on top of the tower like the coast guard now requires. As soon as I purchased the boat I replaced all of the seat bottoms in the cabin area of the boat with skins from Nautiqueskins. I had my dealer install them. I also have the front bow cover and post for this boat and its in good to very good condition.
Trailer Specs:
Dorsey tandem axle with the 15" tire upgrade, matching spare, new custom set of wheels, tires have less than 1000 miles on them. Trailer is extremely nice and considered the high end in its day. Very heavy metal and nicely welded and painted.
Other upgrades include: PCM remote oil filter kit, PCM 100 Amp alternator upgrade, custom dual battery system with switch (tinned marine 2gwire), Three OEM through hull fittings with screens and ball valves, two industrial Ballast Pumps (OEM Nautique parts), all ballast hose is 1" wire reinforced hose just like nautique factory installs, New power panel for ballast system, all wire used in ballast is tinned marine 10g wire with heat shrink connectors at all ends, ski locker and bow bag on top of the factory ballast, also included are two 400s to piggy back on top of factory rear for a total of 2800lbs. The boat stereo is included but is not currently installed. I pulled everything out last year to rearrange the amps and never got back to installing it. The amps are attached to the old panel and all wires are included. The three amps are two Wetsounds syn4 and one Syn1 with a CMD5 head unit. Interior speakers are Wetsounds ws650 and a Wetsounds triple X sub and box are included as well. The tower speakers are a pair of Pro485s but the foam surrounds are dry rotted and need to be re-coned or new 8" drivers installed. Everything that you need to complete the install is there. All upgrades and new parts that I have added to this boat are either a new factory OEM part or better.
This is a rare boat and I know that I will regret this. What I am asking for this boat will not likely net me another when I want to replace it. I called the factory and spoke to a rep and got them to email the factory order sheet. There where only 13 python powered super airs that year. I am asking $35,000 for boat and trailer as is and its lake ready. If you have any questions please ask away. I have owned this boat for almost 10 years and know everything about it. I will post pictures tomorrow. I am on a really slow connection and they are timing out. Thanks.
