I've also got a 2020 GS22 with the Pro Ballast and have thought about upgrading to bigger rear bags. Reading your comment, does that imply that the additional rear weight requires more bow weight to optimize the wave with these? I sent you a PM to follow up...Last edited by North Woody; 07-13-2021, 04:15 PM.

Woody,
It does seem like the Wakemakers bags create a steeper wake, but in order for it to be longer, I found I had to add weight to the front. We often just have our family of 4 in the boat so I ended up having to add lead to the nose since I didn't want to mess with a bow bag. The boat stays on a slip at our condo so there isn't a good place to take the lead out and leave on the dock when we want to do something like ski. I think if I had a different docking setup, with somewhere I could leave the extra weight, the Wakemaker bags would make sense.

i have a '19 gs22. wakemakers used my boat to design the bags.
i agree. if they are full, the bow needs more weight than the belly tank provides.
i don't want to deal with lead, we ski more than anything. I have 300# of lead bags sitting in the garage. used them last year, but made the ski wake bigger and more firm. it is already firm enough.
so the solution I have come up with is to only fill the bags to about 70% and we run a little bit faster. I am at 11.8-12
I have the quagga filter setting engaged, so the ballast pump run times are longer. at 70% on the linc screen, the wakemakers bags are about 3/4 full
