1996 Sport Nautique GT- 40 w/ perfect pass. Showing 34 hours. My family and I have owned the boat for 1.5 years. We are selling to upgrade to a larger boat for a growing family. Original interior is in great condition considering age showing only a few cracks and one tear on drivers seat. Since owning the boat I have replaced several parts - replaced the hour meter (showing 40 hours when purchased and not working- it was aftermarket) , upgraded the alternator to the 100 amp, installed a new fuel pump and filter, replaced the battery, trailer tires, engine belt set, steering cable, trailer guide pads, installed a spare tire and mount to the trailer, fuel pump relays, thermostat, impeller, plug wires and plugs. All parts were purchased from nautiqueparts.com. Long story short when I purchased the boat it wouldn’t restart when it was hot. After reading on the forums and talking to a few boat owners we determined it was vapor locking. After replacing the fuel pump and wrapping the fuel lines in heat shield sleeves the problem hasn't reoccurred. Boat runs great we are just needing a larger boat.
