Right, there was another owner that likely bought this from OMC they told me he bought it used there years ago. It pretty much sat and collected dust. Not sure how many other pythons with the exact same year and color might be hanging around Omaha ...I sort of felt bad for the seller but was glad to pick it up. Now it's time to bring it back to life with some effort, upholstery, Ballast repairs and a new stereo system. 35 hours since mid-July and 14 days straight of surfing for my 13 yr old is a pretty good break in period. Here's to 700 hours more soon.

So it looks like the most recent owner put 70 hours on this boat in the last 8 years. In that time he cut out the speakers, list the jump seat, playpen seat, spare prop, FAE, and managed to wreck the decals on the starboard side, ruin the rear seat cushions, and accumulate a bunch of scale on the bottom of the boat. Why do people treat boats this way?! They should not be allowed to own a boat ever again with such neglect on their hands.

Ballast order placed today, looking forward to improved surf wake vs. what you see here. Still good enough for the 13 year old with only port ballast 260 and center full. Starboard is empty due to lack of functioning pump to fill.
Also installing a 600x1 and a 75x6 JL amps with Alpine speakers and a Polk 12" sub. Will keep the poor Clarion head unit for now. Once the speakers are all replaced and the amps are running we'll see if the head needs to go too. No tower speakers, they were cut off and sold I'm guessing. No plans to replace as they only make it more difficult to lower down every time it goes on the lift.
Still need a new prop that does not make the boat porpoise above 28 mph. (Winter project) here's to a little more summer in MN

Congrats! I have the same year, same engine - you'll probably need a second battery for the upgraded sound system. I'm using 800lb sacs in the rear lockers for surfing. One other thing, I don't think that the prop will make a difference, the boat is back heavy because the engine is heavier than what the hull was designed for. I put about 200lbs of sand bags under the front seats and the boat tracks much smoother. Hit me up with any questions or issues, I would be happy to help!

This boat is equipped with two batteries (second in bow) so should be ready to run the power hungry JL's. I contacted bezoar551 and he said the boat did not porpoise for him. It seems a bit unlikely that CC would produce a boat that can not run over 28 mph without porpoising, at 40 the boat is nearly going to flip over backwards. Yes, all tanks are empty and I realize these boats will porpoise with ballast tanks full. The most recent owner took the boat you see posted for sale in this link from years ago, stripped any parts off they could, parked it in a garage somewhere and let it sit. At least the interior did not suffer and the hull stayed in excellent shape, I've seen a lot of boats sit outside and left to die on a lift or on land.
One thing is for sure, this Python engine is the loudest boat on the water.
