I installed the StarGazer upgrade in my boat and have the original Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro display. It's out of an '07 SV-211TE. To be 100% clear, one of the main reasons that I updated was because this display is having intermittent issues. This photo is from last night, so you can see that it does work, but it will occasionally freak out an go all black. When it goes black, the speed control still works, but the display is unreadable.
This past summer, I would estimate that it was trouble-free about 80-85% of the time.
Maybe you have a fix or potential fix that you'd like to try--it's cheaper than upgrading!
