For Sale
2001 Super Air Nautique - OG SAN hull.
Super nice, engineer-owned and maintained for 17 years of its life. Boat is fresh from 4 awesome and issue-free days @ Lake Havasu. This is my fourth inboard. I know how to treat them, maintain them and keep them in top condition.
Since buying this boat in 2016, I've spent a lot of time and money upgrading the ballast and electronics as well as tuning the wave for wake surfing. For the price, this boat delivers a super fun wave for wake surfing.
Upgrades
Stainless, Fresh Air Exhaust
17 x 50 lbs Lead Wake sacks. All but 5 are hidden under or behind seats. The 5 bags are moved to "tune" the wave for goofy / regular foot riders.
Full ski locker ballast. Fat Sack - 500 lbs
Rear soft bags which fill rear storage lockers. 300 lbs each plus original rear hard tanks.
A decent estimate is 1500 lbs of water and 850 lbs of Lead Bag ballasts. The boat can be really "slammed".
Hydrophase GPS - based speed controller. This has .1mph resolution on speed setting and dial wheel to tune target speed. It works much better than original Perfect Pass. But is also $1400 and 10 years newer.
1578 high altitude prop. This will get you planing with massive ballast load. Boat tops out around 35mph (3900 = 29mph). I don't cruise any faster than this.
Clarion bluetooth marine stereo. Sorry, no big amps, or powered subs... just a simple, 4 speaker sound system. It works.
Condition
Interior vinyl still looks brand new. A few very minor scuffs (1/4") on dash pod, which came with the boat.
Hull gelcoat in extremely nice condition, rivaling a 3 year boat. The boat is garage stored.
Window frame isn't perfect. It'd need to be removed, disassembled and painted or powder coated.
Maintenance / Storage
Last two owners are meticulous engineers. I'm a hotrod builder, fabricator and wiring expert.
6 engine oil changes annual or every 50 hours.
2 drain and fill on V-drive transmission.
Replaced one trailer wheel bearing and bearing buddy caps. Regularly apply waterproof grease.
About 900 engine hours. Engine runs like a top. Burns no oil. Leaks no oil.
Ski Step is freshly prepped and oiled.
Boat is stored covered in a barn, which is 35' long x 13'h x 13w. It sees no sun or rain outside of being used. Before winter, I prep it and use moisture absorbing packages in the interior. After each use it is wiped, spray wax applied and the upholstery is moved so that it dries and doesn't grow mold. Rear seats are flipped up or moved to the center of the boat. I use 303 aerospace regularly on the vinyl.
Barn is something I designed and cover is made from HEAVY Billboard tarp. It could be relocated and sold as part of the package. At this point, I'm convinced it'd last decades in the sun. The tarp alone weighs 250 lbs.
Trailer
The dual axle trailer is a little scruffy. The fenders have some rust. I was planning on replacing the fenders. The rest of the trailer is 100% functional and tidy. If you want a perfect trailer, this isn't it.
Why Sell?
I have two kids. 10 and 14. The 14 year old love the boat, but plays soccer 30 weekends / year, most of them in the warmer months. My 10 year old doesn't like boating. Nor wake sports. It just is very difficult to use this a lot.
What does it need?
The nav and tower lights are something I've never used.
Trailer could be stripped and painted with new fenders installed.
Window frame could be restored.
Reduced ask
$30,500 for boat and trailer. And Bimini. @ Full ask. I'm open to including accessories: 17 ballast bags ($1400). A dozen life jackets. Ropes. Wake boards (2). Wake surf boards (2). Spare propeller and puller. Marine grease gun.
