INACTIVE - 2002 Super Air Nautique TE Python

2002 Super Air Nautique Team Edition with the 8.1 Python engine. 805.8 hours (gauge replaced at 352.2hours.) This boat is in great shape and will fly down the lake or push a giant wake. Some of the upholstery is torn but in very serviceable condition. New optima blue top battery, spark plugs, plug wires, impeller, oil change and battery shut off switch at the end of last season. The original ballast tanks in the rear lockers have been replaced with bags and are in great shape. Comes with a single axle Ram-lin trailer that received a new surge break and rotors last year as well as axle service and a new strap. Water ready now!

Unless some very specific steps were followed when those original gauges were replaced, the hours on those gauges will not match the hours on the engine.

2002 boats originally came with the problematic Teleflex digital gauges, and most, including yours, were replaced with the refit kit from Nautique when the gauges failed. The hours are stored in the gauges, and are not displayed in the gauges from the ECU, so when the gauges were replaced, the hours reset to ZERO.

Unless you can prove that the hour meter on the replacement gauge was run to match the original hours, or you have a screenshot from DIACOM showing the total engine hours from the ECU on the engine, you should revise your post to state that the true hours are unknown.

Thanks Jeff, I was not aware this had been replaced. After your post, I went back and looked through the paper work more carefully and found this service receipt where the shop had clearly ready the ECU as well. It appears that the gauges were replaced with 352 hours on the engine. Original post has been updated to reflect accurate hours.

Jeff, I see you have a 211 in your collection. Would you be interested in trading that for this boat? I'd be interested in talking about that if the 211 is in decent shape. This could get you the python while keeping the wife happy

The 211 I have is a restoration candidate. I doubt you'd want to trade for it right now. It only has half a windshield, no engine cover, and has an engine full of water that needs a rebuild. It will be beautiful once I am finished with it, but it is currently sitting on one of my lifts waiting its turn to be restored.

But yeah, I would gladly trade it to you as it sits for your boat!!
