Nice looking boat. Although it's a direct drive, how is the wake on this boat? I know it won't match the wake of a V-drive but I don't need a 4 ft. high wall of water  Was planning to sell my I/O Chaparral in Spring 2008 and look for a Nautique. I also like the fact you are in NC - I'm in Raleigh. Bad timing and I doubt this one will be around long. Good luck with selling.

Thanks, Your right it is a direct drive but it is the Pro Air which has a different Hull than the Air. It has cut outs on each side which they called them lifting vents . THis creats a much more aggressive wake than the Plain Air Nautique. With this option and the ballast tanks filled I need to be pulled at 70 feet to hit the wake side to side. It's not a V-Drive but I believe you would be impressed with the wake. At 32mph the wake flattens out and you can ski if you desire. The Pro Air was voted the most Innovative by boating writters International back in 2000. They call this Hull the Total Wake Control Hull. It is very differnt from the Air Natique. Good luck with the sale of your Chparral.

I have a buddy with a 99 proair and I think its one of the best wakes there is. I also ride an 06 220 and think that the shape of the pro is a little bit better. You wont have the room of a Vdrive but the wake more than makes up for it.

I really wish I had sold my boat this spring. This boat has everything I want/need and is in-state. I considered trying to sell now but I've got company/family coming up to our Lake Gaston house every weekend for the rest of the season.

I know this doesn't help you now, but if this boat is still around in late September (not likely) I may give you a call. Know anyone interested in a 2003 Chaparral 220 SSi with a Monster Tower in outstanding condition?

Yea, timing is everything... I wish I knew someone that was looking for your type of boat, I would send them your way. Good luck.. I already have several people calling and emailing so I'm not sure if it will stick around till September. You would be pressed to find one in this condition.. Very low hours and looks like it is a 2005-2006 condition wise. Really hate to sell it.

Yep - wishful thinking that it will be around in Sept. My guess is it won't last until the end of the week :!: I've never owned an inboard (the Chap is my first boat) and had a chance to drive an SV-211 and a 216 this past weekend. I was convinced that for what we do (95% wake board and 5% skiing/tubing) that I needed to move to an inboard. While every type of boat has its issues, I'm quickly finding out that I/Os have a lot more to break (outdrive, lower unit, seals, power steering, etc.) and it is expensive to fix. You also generally have to have a dealer do those kind of repairs.

Again, good luck and I'll keep an eye out just in case.

Linville - can we assume that you are the new owner? If so, you are a lucky dog 8-)

Very nice looking boat. Somebody should be able to grab this one and get a lot of use out of it.
