    2000 SAN

Wish you guys wouldn't post stuff like this on the site. 27K was a steal . . . Generally I have a quick trigger and would have been on the road to pick this one up . . . Called too late and the guy let it go for $25K . . . said it was pristine . . . everyone on this site missed the bargain of 2007 . . . he was on Smith Lake in Alabama . . . the water there is LOW . . . apparantly it is not just the lake property that is taking a beating there . . .

I have an 01 SAN 242 hour boat that I am willing to let go of here at the end of the season for $29,500. I think this is a steal also but nothing like the one in Alabama . . . Will try to post the boat soon . . . have plans for the next two weekends with it and will be looking for an older 2001 model to get us through the fall and winter . . .

      RE: 2000 SAN

      inboard60,
I'm not looking to offend or start an argument, but I think the price is just naturally starting to come down a bit given the number of available newer boats. If I'm not mistaken, someone got a good deal on a 202 SAN for around $27,000 on here not to long ago. Link below:

I don't question that your boat will be a good deal, but just suggesting that SAN's under the $30K mark are not as hard to come buy as they once were.
Best of luck with the sale.

        debat

I'll debate you heavily on this one. No offense to FCJoe but I wouldn't give $21,000 for an 02 salt/brackish boat. Salt and brackish must be alot like cancer to a boat. I ran a dry stack marina for a couple of years and cared for a 99 Prostar 205V from Florida. The guy was maticulous with it and my marina was on fresh water in north alabama but everytime he lifted his engine box it looked worse . . . his trailer was inside but was sitting rusting inside out . . . such the weak sale on the 02 super air . . . and who wants a bottom painted super air . . . as my six year old say Yuck!!!!!!!!! Might as well add a trolling motor and a rear step on the swim platform!!!! Don't know if you are sitting hoping that their value plunges below $30K but my opinion is that they will stay solid for the next couple of years. . . especially if CC keeps raising thier price each year and there are people like me who know how to take care of a boat!!!! There are a couple on ebay right now that don't hold a candle to mine and if the market has dropped, I'll just hang on to it. Unless I get to get on the water as much as I would like and put like 2000 hours on it or something these boats won't drop below $25K in the next decade . . . yeah some old boy in Alabama dumped his and I wish I had been there to catch it . . . A clean $4000 profit in the spring to feed my habit . . . The guy or gal that bought it can baloon it at the bank and run it til this time next year and make a bargain for the next owner and never cost them a dime . . . Next time one comes up like this one you better beat me to it!!!!

          RE: debat

          nothing ventured nothing gained...

7 days from the time of posting a good deal is too long to wait for calling...

I would have bought myself, but did not want the big N stripe...

It weird how that some times what really turns you off when it first comes out some how rings your bell later. I too did not like the N. . . but now i think it is something to hang on to . . . I would like to debate that the 96 to 01 super air SANs are built a lot beefier that the 02 and later boats . . . there are 2 01 sans on ebay as we speak . . . not near as nice or as low hours as mine and this will show what the off season bargains may bring. . .

No debate from me. I made my point and you made yours. I have no stake in this, just making an observation.

so what you are saying is that salt water always destoys a boat?? joe did a excellent job at keeping the boat in excelent shape. that is why i flew out and looked at it before i bought it. i know cancer when i see it. all boats rust, salt is just an excellerant for oxidation, you clean it after evey use and it can last just as long as you want it to. as for the paint on the bottom, it kinda worked out good for me because i do not have to worry about the scum line when i leave the boat tied to my dock for a week or so. also any ideas where i should put my trolling motor, since you know everything about boats?? guess you could have guessed with your infinate omniscient wisdom that i bought that boat.
