The Montana Nautique promo rep has sold several boats to someone in Japan over the last 8 years. In fact it sounds like the same guy is going to buy his '09. I'm not sure how he deals with the money part of it, but he has had to deliver it to the port of Seattle. So this could be a legit deal, though I would require 100%.

Great idea letting your dealer handle the headache. From what I see on my end in my practice, I would be very careful dealing with this kind of transaction. If you do handle it on your own, it would be worthwhile to pay a visit to your local bank and discuss with them possible interent scams. Banking institutions should be up to speed on the latest and greatest internet scams. And remember, there's a big difference between a bank honoring funds which are "contingent" and a bank guaranteeing funds. With the former, the bank can reverse the charges against you even if they made the funds available for withdraw. Such "contingent" funds are a fact of life and are necessary to do buinsess but it is the customer that gets hit if the funds are part of a scam.

The guy is sounding pretty lidget. I dont know if there will be a sale or not, but I dont think it is a scam. It sounds like they get to ski at a pretty nice slalom place, but no jump.
        Life long Nautique guy
        Will ski anytime.
